Clipper you are great. I think an in depth is great. If your spending the money you want to know if it is worth it.
I may buy this guy because I was a big Spidey fan growing up.
And I'll be one of the few displaying with the winter gear if I get him hahaha. I like that look.

I have a Real Doll. It's close enough to the real thing (I assume) and can also be considered part of my figure collection. 1/6th? Pfft! I have life sized!

I think this one is the way to go. I have a feeling there'll be a new black suit Spidey with these skinnier proportions compared to the Raimi ones, but of course that'll be years later...

If this figure were in a black suit, it'd be game over.

SM3 Black Suit looks great, everyone raves about how the suit feels and it comes with a Tobey HS. Downside is it's a bit pricey, it's stocky and I don't really need the Sandman diorama base.

ASM2 looks like it's super poseable and the outfit looks great, but it doesn't have a HS and the accessories do nothing for me, so....

I've got this EX on PO but the only other Spider-Man figure I bought was the SM3 black suit Spidey. I love it, even though the body is bigger than the ASM2 version. The suit makes the figure awesome. I'll buy a black suit version with the new body when they make one but until then, the SM3 version is a must-buy.

I always bide my time and wait for the right deal when it comes to the secondary market. If you are willing to pay a reasonable amount you'll find it at some point. Patience always wins out in the end.

Pretty sure some people will repaint it like MoS where they made his black suit. I can't wait to see how it looks!

I don't think the original red and blue or the black suit Spidey were too big. It's not like Spider-Man has always been a skinny midget like the ASM1 figure (thankfully ASM2 is better).

They're appropriately sized. This is the Spider-Man 3 red and blue and black suit figures,





He's more muscular and has smaller, sharper eyes. The black suit also made him stronger and more buff.



And this is the new ASM2 figure,






Bigger, bug eyes, leaner frame. Great for crazier poses.

Dammit! I really had zero interest in this figure when it was first announced because it looked like pure crap. Looked like pure crap again at the Con. And of course now it looks pretty awesome. Guess I'll eventually break and pick him up

When they showed that same crap figure at the Con I was convinced that it was destined to be terrible. I'm quite impressed with the final product. I've learned my lesson.

They're appropriately sized...

They weren't too big overall, but their body proportions were weird. Especially the Incredible Hulk sized thighs.

Way too chunky. I still have both, I love all Spideys really, but they look pretty dated in comparison to recent efforts.

Yeah, it's a real pity, they are not so noticeable in person, but clunky compared to the rest of the figure.
