anyone else having them ship today contemplating having SS open them and verify there aint no black shiz on their figure???

from what i understand... if you get it and it has damage like that, you have to pay to ship it back out of your own pocket... and seems from the several reviews that this figure is prone to it.

I sent damaged stuff before and its never come out of my pocket. If you send it back as a regular return, then you have to ship it back on your own.

The first 3/4 of this thread is how bad this figure is and how it will be the same as the first...and now...everyone is getting shipping notices???

I reckon they have him with Parker sculpt lined up if this goes well, do the Bat/Cap thing and go tupac or even give him a lightsaber.

I was charged today, its in item shipping soon status as well, I expect it will ship out mid next week as the pack-out option tends to delay the shipping a few days.

A pack-out is a 10 dollar charge for putting your collectable into a box for shipping, otherwise they ship them out unprotected so to speak, they just slap a shipping label on the hot toys shipper box.

I hate receiving stuff all dinged up, even if it is a shipper box, some of my collection is a MIB so I want it to be mint.

Does the pack out apply to the regular version?

Not sure you know what a pack out is my friend. So just to be safe, as I'm sure (if) you wouldn't be the only one that doesn't know---

The pack out is simply a shipping option. Just like ups vs usps vs fedex vs dhl ect. Just an option. (Though it's not a service to mail, just used that as an example to illustrate that it does not matter what is shipped like with those companies). It was offered as an option mostly for MIB people who would return items (not just hot toys) because the package was damaged in shipping. But it's not only MIB that use it. Anyone that is worried about damage also uses it. Anyone can use it though. Never a bad idea. It's essentially a little extra padding and an extra exterior shipping layer. Remember, sideshow is a business, so they can't spend 15 bucks on bubble wrap on every package and buy another box just so the already provided mailer doesn't get damaged. That's bad business. But being a mainly adult oriented collector company, they cater to people that do often want that extra peace of mind and insurance so they offer the protection at a fee. It's actually a very smart move. Best of both worlds as you will.

Hope that helps, if you didn't know. Or others didnt. If you did your probably not reading at this point anyway, which is probably the same for most everyone else. So I'd like to take this opportunity to confess that I often wear ladies...umm never mind. :)

You wear ladies? Doesn't that get heavy at some point? :)

Back on topic-- I had a waitlist convert for the EX last month but decided to cancel it earlier this week. I like having an exclusive (though I'd have no use for the plutonium canister), but recent HT sales/discounts on Sideshow have made me rethink buying figures when they first come out. I really like the figure, but I can wait it out. Worst case, I'll use a $20 coupon on the regular version if it gets low in stock before it gets discounted. Anyways, congrats to whoever gets my spot on the EX waitlist.

I was debating for a while whether to stick with the EX or use a discount code for the regular. I think I might start waiting for the figures to be discounted as well. Waited too long this time though and they charged me for the EX. Oh well, I really do want the figure. The exclusive is kind of lame, but what can you do. $250 shipped, with pack-out though... that's pretty #%$@ steep for a single figure.

I'll either be forced to wait for discounts or severely limit the amount of figures that I order.

SS charged my card this morning but status is just "shipping soon." Oh well, was hoping to have Spidey by tomorrow but looks like next week.
