Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine Collectible Figure (Specs + Pics)

This head sculpt is by far the best rendition to date from Hot Toys. The suit though kinda looks like a Motocross outfit. Not sure why Wolverine would need any kind of body armor at all. :dunno

Maybe Wolverine does Xtreme Motocross in the future? :huh

Perhaps Logan's healing factor in that future isn't as reliable as it was in the past/present? His hair's started to have some grey on them and that shows he's really aged, and slow aging's part of his healing factor's benefits right? Just a thought.

I don't get all the love for the 70's outfit? Be honest people, what you really want is the X1 outfit. :lol

Great headsculpt! Better be no more than 210 with how barebones it is.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine Collectible Figure (Specs + Pics)

Maybe the reason Hot Toys only makes Wolvie figures :huh

Why Marvel wants the X-Men to fail - Vox

That's what made me think that it's possible that DOFP Wolverine would only be used as prizes to promote the Blu-Ray release (though I also wanted this to be mass produced). Were there any DOFP figures produced, say, from Hasbro or any other companies?

Also, the fresher news on the vine is that what Marvel is doing to sabotage the other Fox-licensed property, Fantastic Four, is even worse than the rumored X-men merchandise block.

They're essentially the same, and the Origins figure is basically the X1 outfit minus the coat he wears under the striped one. I just would like a disco era Wolvie with the sunglasses.

I wouldn't be surprised it's around that much, and it will probably sell about as much or slightly more than TW version.

Or a 1930s one.

A double pack with Mr. Fixit. :wink1:

No. They had a X-Men Marvel Legends wave set to release that in no way resembled DoFP and even that got relegated to a TRU exclusive that hit the shelves way past movie release.

I thought so. That was reason for me to believe that the license block rumor COULD BE true, as non-sensical as it may seem to other people.

True or not the battle between Marvel and Fox is starting to get nasty. At least there's good news of a possible team up between Marvel and Sony so they could lend Spidey for a Marvel movie, given some provisions.

Is anyone else sick of them using the same claw mold over and over again?

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine Collectible Figure (Specs + Pics)

So if they released a 70's version, what items different from this one would he come with, not counting the outfit? Wouldn't he also be bare bones?

We can hope but I'm guessing $230 ( more depending on stand). I haven't seen a pic of stand so unsure if basic or upgraded version.

Bone claws, frying pan, sun glasses, keys w rabbit foot all kinds of fun things I'm sure they wouldn't add

A body riddled with bullet holes like your sig would be pretty sweet. I always wanted a battle damage version, missing hunks of flesh.

I think this has the best sculpt/likeness to Jackman of all their attempts. Will def pick this one up if the pricing is right.

Hopefully they will do a Fassneto next.

Nooo. Very different outfits. I don't blame you, Snake. You only got one eye :wink1:

Its like the evolution of Wolverine, does anyone know what sculptor did what? I know the DOFP one is done by the guy who did Chewie, Marty, and Bruce Willis. Correction he did Art direction on this Wolvie, so he's moving up the HT's ranks, I need to see more of this claire sculptor.
