1/6 Hot Toys - MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine Collectible Figure

Saw DOFP today and I wasnt impressed but this figure looks great!

Is there any 1/6th scale figure with the (for me) Classic costume? Like this?

Medicom did one in their RAH line; but it's been sold out for a while so your best bet is ebay.



Other than that sideshow showed of a prototype wolverine for their 1/6 marvel line at a previous SDCC, the costume is kind of comic based but takes a couple of liberties:

I guess they made it that way because it makes more sense anatomy wise. Thats where the bones would protrude from, but who can be sure with fictional skeletal structures

Wish it was that simple but it's not gonna be possible tomorrow, it's cool it just builds up the excitement even more.

There was little point making casual clothes Wolverine for this film when they've already done that with the Origins figure.

This outfit is what he wears on all of the promotional material, so it's not surprising that it was chosen.

And it's the most comic booky look. I read on here all the time that people don't buy figures dressed in regular clothing so it makes sense why this version was made. Also the past version would have come with only bone claws which I would have hated.

I'm fairly certain if HT had made the 70s look that they would have added in metal claws regardless of them not being accurate to that era.

Man! I couldn't wait! I needed a decent (IMO) Jackman Wolverine so bad that when I saw the proto I had to have it. So glad it was released early.
But I have zero patience, I seem to always be ordering from HK. It's not so bad in the US but here in the UK we can sometimes be waiting upto 6 months for a figure to be released, it's usually 3 months which is still too long for me lol
On a side note how come so many HT figures are being released a lot earlier than scheduled, hey, I'm not complaining but anyone know why this seems to be happening a lot, especially since star lord. Since then we've had Gamora, storm troopers & now wolverine. I hope this a sign of things to come

Its Age of Ultron. Theres some figure being moved up and some being pushed back, leaving a massive gap that will be filled by 14+ Avengers figures
Thats my theory anyway

Can't be arsed with any kitbashing. Buying X figure (no pu- OK pun intended) for the body, a separate head, a separate outfit - gawdammit can't we just get one Wolverine figure that looks like Jackman and wears a more significant outfit worn for the majority of one of the better films? ****ing big mistake selling my Origins figure. Seems like that was the closest I'm ever gonna get (due to it's similarity to X1, X2 casual clothes)

The ''Superhero'' outfit does make more sense in the context of my collection and this was also the reason I previously considered the Last Stand figure. ****. Do I give up on my 70's look man-crush? The pop toys outfit IS available. Nobody has taken pics of it with that head yet.
