Here's the proof

Yup, I get it. Sometimes it doesn't matter what you say or how you say it people just take from it what they want to. Still it's giving me some lols, I like watching you work ha!

:hi5: :rotfl

You are correct. It's why I usually don't even bother. And then people say that "other" people would not dislike me if I just worded thugs nicer. Lol as I point out to them, it doesn't matter how you say it. To some people when you disagree they don't care how you say it, your still a jerk and rude.

Your welcome. It's also nice to have someone around that is as adept as you at making up stuff. It's stunning deductive work. They designed both armors and opted to use one becuase its "not red".

What proof would you like? How do I disprove a random guess out of left field based on absolutely nothing?

It's also interesting that just simply saying you are wrong, with even a nice "sorry" added is some how rude. That's not rude. If you really want to see rude I can do that.

Um I said earlier that it was pure speculation and I never called you dumb.

This is not bad but it really just suggests that they went with a different style after the first avengers. It doesn't prove that they didn't conceive the idea of different color schemes at the one time. It just says they wanted a different direction with the armor after the mk 7 avengers.

I find it funny that you proclaim some people will just take it the wrong way no matter what. I was not hostile towards you until you got so damn snippy. Get over yourself.

LOL don't embarrass yourself.

What's so interesting about my post tone? Where is...

You are incorrect, sorry.

Any type of rude or fighty tone? It's funny how when an argument fails or is proven wrong it THEN has taken to much time. Like they are now leaving the board. As soon as you post again the "time" argument is voided. As your still using your time the exact same way. It's like saying a basketball game is a waste of time, leaving the game, only to watch another game. It wasn't how isaid it or that I said it. What difference does any of that make? It's that I was right.

I tried to avoid the lengthy argument and he complained I didn't included enough info. I include more info and he complains it's a waste of time. It's funny how that works. And I hope he did block me. And I hope he stops making crap up.

No idea what you're talking about, I love watching Motumex work :lol:lol:lol

He's awesome!

Thanks. Though I'm sure your in the minority.

Man, I tried to avoid the long drawn out argument. No need for it. The way they design the suits is easily found with a few quick searches. They explain it pretty well. Had they designed the 43 first and thought nah, let's hold that and re color it they would have said so. But they didn't. They intentially went with the gold to show a change.

And I know he won't believe me so I didn't bother saying it before...but since he now has blocked me and I won't need to hear the inevitable "prove it, you don't have any special knowledge" argument that always comes when the info contradicts someone's point...the 42 was going to be used in aou at first. But Whedon hated the colors. So that's why they changed to the 43. Not becuase they designed it first then recolored the 42 to use in im3. But that part doesn't even really matter. I posted a quote directly from the designers about them designing the 42 and making it mostly gold for a specific plot point. So they had zero intention to make it red from the start.

I do like your arguments. Your side always has a technical aspect. Once in a while I'm on the opposite end but hey, it's all in good fun and either one of us could learn something.

Now back to the 43... I just got charged a flex payment???

I think I also got charged this month. But I'll have to double check. So many flex payments this month. Stupid figure addiction.

I really do love the 43 though. Great looking armor.

Hmmm havent had the shipping notice others have had just yet, but knowing its either a mass mail out or a manual trigger I imagine I will receive one in the not too distant future.

Despite the missing weapons which would have made me an even happier camper I am looking forward to getting this, for now he is going to replace Centurion as my faceplate open Iron Man least until the Mark 3 arrives (which reminds me I only have so long to decide whether I ask SS nicely to transfer my NRD for that to the balance of the 43).

Of course they design off the the information they get from Marvel ahead of time. If HT had to wait and see the film to get to work, we wouldn't see a single pre-order until 6 months after the movie was released, and we'd be waiting even longer for our figures than we already are.

Marvel gives HT the information they have at the time as part of the license agreement . Concept art, plot synopsis, whatever. But these movies get cut, edited and recut often right up until weeks before the premiere. They may tell HT that something is in the film, and six months later that thing is on the cutting room floor. That's hardly HT's fault.

Just like it's not HT's fault that the MK43 is a repainted MK42. That was Marvel's call. Now it's entirely possible that Marvel made that call in order to help all of their license holders reuse existing molds for product, but again, that call was made at a level higher than HT, and HT should not be receiving the flak for it.
Hey, you, get out of here with your logic!

That's interesting and actually not surprising at all, but where did you hear that?

You know I have never understood the assumption that they designed the new looks for the Avengers (or at least IM, Cap and Thor) and then modified them for their solo films. Especially with Iron Man who’s art book shows so many variations for the Mark 42 including one which was the finished suit (or near enough) with the traditional colour scheme…. its much more likely they chose to run with a variant of the existing suit, makes more sense in story too for Tony to have calmed down after IM3 on the prototype front and return to a more steady process of upgrading to the next model.

I have read from enough designers to know that there are various alternative designs, some of which are brought back and used in future productions (happened alot in the Star Trek production office).

Doesn’t matter one bit as I really like the design of the 42 and 43, I just prefer the more dominant red suit, just like I appreciate both the Mark IV and VI which are very similar in design but my preference is for the Mark VI… I know many people who are the other way round on both of these examples preferring the more traditional circle chest piece to the triangle but in contrast the gold colour scheme to the red one, each to their own.
