I buy to keep as well. However when I make a purchase and commit to buy something 9 months in advance, life has a way of shifting in those 9 months in many ways. I don't care about hot toys holding their value so much for resale, however when nearly every hot toy aside from exclusives ends up 20% or more off in a few months, it makes the retail prices seem even more outlandish and pointless to pay up front. It bothers me that I spent $270 on a silver centurion that I can buy now for $200, whether I care about selling mine or not. Instead of feeling the need to jump on these figures lest you pay through the nose, the norm is fast becoming overproduction and decreasing value. If the trend continues I can sit on my hands and buy the whole AoU lineup in a year for 60-70% of what people are paying now and I'm pretty patient when I feel my money can be saved by waiting.
