The final paint may be completely different finish. Until the final product releases its hard to know which way either will go. Both could end glossy, neither, the 1/6 could be matte while the 1/4 glossy. It's a proto.

Being that hot toys is making a 1/6 diecast and a 1/4 scale of the 43 is it fairly safe to assume that it will be the primarily featured armor in aou?

Assumption is the mother of all **** ups!!! lol ;) I'd guess so though, depending on whether Tony Stark is in the mark 43 when Ultron takes it over or infects it (or whatever he's supposed to be doing to give it the red glowing eyes look) & at what point in the movie that happens!?!

After looking at Budget Stark's first look video, I think the glossy red paint is not all that bad. This figure actually looks great in that video :)

Yeah paint is like the third issue I have with the figure, Id rather it look accurate as possible starting with the proportions

I'm still going to keep this one, but the QS 1/4 makes this one looks much more "toy-ish"

Hope it gets a matte fin on it.

Two more shots I took today

I hope they change the color. A little bit matte like 1/4 version will make this figure looks better.

Didn't notice before, but after all the videos of the figure.... I wonder why the arc reactor is milky? Maybe something from the movie.

Probably because they likely switched arc reactor designs for the film, so they couldn't use the triangle arc from the MkXLII. Knowing Whedon, he probably switched back to the circular design.

Although I prefer the mark 42's arc reactor, I don't mind the milky look of the mark 43's as it's an added difference from the base model (mark 42). :)
