I hope they change the color. A little bit matte like 1/4 version will make this figure looks better.

Didn't notice before, but after all the videos of the figure.... I wonder why the arc reactor is milky? Maybe something from the movie.
Tell me about it. I swore when I started collecting, I would stay away from the MCU figs. But my inner comic geek was jealous of everyone's Avengers display. Now I must have my own. So TDW Thor was the first step.

That's a great figure to start with. They've come a long way since the Avengers Thor.
The bad part about the NRD is that its non refundable. I put in an order for the 1/6 mark 43 exclusive. Now just a few days later, I don't want it anymore. I want the the 1/4 mark 43 revealed at toy soul, but I'm stuck with the $34 deposit I paid for the 1/6 mark 43.
Come to think about it, I don't even want the diecast mark III anymore, but I already paid the NRD. Thats $64 in non refundable deposits for figures I don't want.

The price is the biggest obstacle. Premium Format price for a 1/6 figure. Are pristine suits a thing of the past? Seems like all these new suits have some sort of battle damage. I prefer a scratch free suit.

And that's exactly why they are doing it more and more. They count these preorders as for sure sales, and legally need to. So they have to cover the preorder. How would you feel if they cancelled your preorder because they didn't feel like selling it, or found another buyer willing to pay more or whatever.
I wouldn't be surprised if it's all NRD shortly. And it should be really. It makes sure there's less over production. It keeps the figures value from dropping when there's tons still at retail a year later. I get if there's a legit reason why you cancel. but most the time it's just a simple I changed my mind, or I like another figure better or tomorrow's a full moon. Predictable stuff. There's always going to be a new figure. A new movie. Or the company goes out of business.
So I see nothing wrong with the NRD.

You make a couple valid points but nrd still sucks for a couple reasons. One issue is the long delays that are very common. If the stated release date is not met, then the customer should be able to back out with all their cash. Another problem is that sometimes the finished product has flaws or in some cases simply doesn't look like the prototype. Should the customer be stuck with a bum product? I understand that the fickle nature of people in general has probably brought on nrd, but I still hate it.
Shipped back on your dime though which could be close to the NRDs. Just pointing it out just so people realize sideshow doesn't eat that shipping.
Completely agree. It's only 10% so it shouldn't be a big deal.
