I've liked all of the movies so far & I'm also liking Agents of Shield too, all good stuff..., not so sure I'll watch Agent Carter yet, it's just not really got the superhero feel to it for me but if it doesn't get axed then I may give it a look (saw on facebook it's had a huge dip in viewing figures already & no one I know that has seen it so far has said it was good, just that it was boring..., so like I said, not in a rush to see it). Iron Man is my favourite out of all the franchises but over all I think the Thor movies have been the most impressive, them & Captain America 2 were superb..., I'm really looking forward to the new Avengers movie & still holding out hope that there will be an Iron Man 4 & Robert Downey Jr gets his way & Mel Gibson directs it, I'm sure that'll be epic. :)

:horror
Thor is a masterpiece......
imo

To each there own. I don't hate them, but I wish they were closer to LOTR in scope and tone. And being honest, if they got rid of Kat Dennings character, and lost the Jane Foster romance and put him with Sif. I might like the films more. But I consider Cap is my favorite MCU film, and I know lots of people who hate FA.

I am hoping we see T'Chaka in this film. I need my Black Panther fix!

I think it's because Captain America starts out as a bit of a joke at first that puts the movie in not such a good light, all of the touring stuff & pretending to be a hero before he was one is a bit cringe worthy I found..., over all it's a good film & Tommy Lee Jones is certainly the stand out actor for me, thankfully in his second outing he's a proper hero. :)

I'm gonna go off the charts here and say that Iron Man 2 is honestly still one of my favorite MCU movies... It's my favorite of the 3 Iron Man movies for sure.

I think the Jane foster part was needed, or thought to be needed to provide Thor that link to earth. Otherwise why would earth be any more important then the other 9 (8 really if u take out earth, but 8 realms sounds weird) realms...just keeps thor linked and engaged to earth. At least that was the thinking.

And going with the LOTR would be cool, but they intentionally stayed away from it because they didn't want a carbon copy of it. I can see why they wanted a unique tone. But I know why you would want it to be LOTR. It's kinda the bench mark for S&S type stuff. I'm hoping for that tone for masters of the universe, so I get it.

There will be a Mark 45!!!

New Lego descriptions:

thanks for quoting the same source (the only source) weve been discussing for months... means nothing

I liked the Thor movies, and KB's Shakespearean influence in the first, but I do find they get a little blurry defining the power levels, abilities and mythology of the characters. The other Avenger movies are lot more black and white in that respect..

Hulk is a good type hulk monster vs a bad. Iron Man is a good man in a special suit vs a bad, Captain America is a good super soldier vs a bad. Thor is more difficult to establish. Regular Asgardian warriors and people come across like cannon fodder. Thor's closest buddies are like a step up. (Lady Sif in the Agents of Shield crossover was certainly by our standards 'superhuman'), and Thor a level above that... at least while he has Mjölnir anyway... and presumably Odin a step up from Thor again (we've seen a taste of his power)

Enter the Avengers movie and Loki pretty much kicks all of 'normal' SHIELD, holds his own (while probably holding back) against both Cap and suited up Iron Man, and seems to hold his own against Thor for narrative purposes (although you get the feeling Thor should wipe him completely), and like Thor can take any pounding Hulk seems to dish out... and then suffers a pretty cheap 'fate' in DW.

I'm no expert in Marvel and DC source material, but it always seems to be that Thor should be the most powerful hero we've seen in the Marvel Universe by a long shot..

In the comics Thor is pretty up there in power. He is shown to take on the Silver Surfer. He trashed Iron Man, when he didn't hold back. He even told him there was a difference between gods and a mortal man in a suit. Old Thor(when he became the All-Father) fought Galactus to a standstill over the remains of Earth. Neither came out better for having fought that fight. So I would say Thor is in a weight class with only a few people. Sentry(before he died, ironically at the hands of an enraged Thor). The Wolrdbreaker Hulk: They have never fought or met, but this would be an epic battle. I am not sure any Asgardians outside of Odin and Thor would survive an encounter with this version of Hulk. And even then, maybe only Odin as the All Father. World Breaker was not something to be messed with.

As for Loki, he would beat the hell out of everyone not named Hulk. While weak compared to Thor, he is still a god, and that puts him out of the weightclass of all humans. Avengers had them fighting as equals(so did Thor) but in comics, Loki would never fight Thor head on like that. He knows he stands no chance. He uses proxies. Even with Thor holding back out of love for his brother, Loki can't hold his own very long.

That defined power level is a kinda no-no in the film industry. The defined levels can cause huge issues down the line. I can recall a story by the stargate sg1 show runners about how two early defined power levels made the rest of the show harder at times. It was about the Zat. The whole one shot stuns, two kills, three incinerated or disintegrated. Whatever it's called.

Anyway, those defined levels are a big no-no.

Is the arc reactor on the prototype 43 correct? To me it looks like it sits flush across the chest and does not have the raised outer ring like the 42.

The Arc Reactor may or may not be directly behind the Chest RT.... Without the need to remove the chest piece, the entire chest could be diecast, or to reduce molding cost it could be identical to Mk. 42's...

I would think with the production piece they will reuse as much as possible.

But the proto is just a repainted mark 42. Well one that wasn't painted (but made as a 42) and is painted like the 43. So it's the same.

the arc reactors havent been accurate on any of the IM pieces except the 43, we arent supposed to see the chest RT while the suit is on

the mk 43 seems to have its RT glazed over so we cant see it but the part is likely there as its a re run of the 42
