Alright I was going to do the same (pre-order from BBTS) just to secure one and I figure I can cancel. Their cancelation policy has me confused though.

Cancellation Policy
Products may be cancelled within 15 days of product purchase. This date is based on each individual product's purchase date, not the date of order placement or payment. No cancellations will be acepted after 15 days of the product purchase. This policy applies only to items that have not yet shipped.

Does that mean if I don't cancel with 15 days of the pre-order I won't be able to cancel? Thanks.

Infinity Wars version will probably be $580 by the time that one rolls out.

Exactly...Grinning expression + Gauntlet hopefully or ppl will be chasing this one down still I think. Don't think they will make it with the Throne again. In fact I might just pick it up parted out without the throne for under $300sh if possible.

I won't be ordering from SSC but I'm fine with the price, its a little over the top but its a big figure and it comes with a huge throne

A year away? That sucks. Pre-ordered anyway though.
I am really excited about this figure, but wish he was coming out sooner.
They are probably planning him for release shortly after the Blu-ray drops.
So far, IM Mark 43, Cap, and Thanos on pre-order.
Just need Vision, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Ultron, and Hawkeye to be announced and pre-orders opened.

Preordered.

I know people are saying its 100 bucks more than hulk and all you get is a chair...but it's not just the chair. There's that, an actual costume that amounts to more then overgrown cutoff shorts, a lot more paint and detail work, and yes, that throne. The paint work on this will be two or three times the amount on hulk. At least. That equates to man hours. Which cost. The tooling will also be a lot more complex.

I'm surprised Thanos isn't more than $415... I was expecting $500 with the throne. I wish there was a cheaper version without it but oh well. I'll order this with flex whenever they issue a new monthly code.

Honestly I think the complaints about this fig are ridiculous. No fabric or clothes? He's almost entirely wearing plate armor! There's not much more they could do except for making it die-cast then the price would be even higher.

Yea, I also though it would be in the 450-475 range. People are now taking about how much it is and how it's got no cloth..but for the first 80 pages I didn't see anyone complain about no cloth...or I missed it. But it still wasn't something I say much of. And how many people actually thought this guy would be under 4 bills? Not many.

So if this comes out Jan 2016 (perhaps later as everything seems to delayed with so much product coming out), he'll only be in hand for a year and a half or so before we see previews of the Infinity Gauntlet version. And of course another year before that one eventually ships.

Avengers CA, for example, went up order 4/12 and the AoU version just went up for order 1/15, almost 3 years. Of course, we knew the costume would be different. I don't imagine they'll update Thanos's armor for IW, but perhaps.

I figured a solo figure would be around the $350 range, but they didn't even go that route.

considering how big he is, my LOWEST guess wouldve been 350. so around 400 doesn't seem so bad. I'll just simply set 100 aside from each weekly paycheck for a month :)

The reason I bring up the no cloths thing is because if you look at a figure like Groot that's also 15" with a lot of paint work just like Thanos and see Groot priced at $199.99 it boggles my mind why Thanos is so expensive. I mean the throne is just hunks of plastic with cheap LEDs in it. I thought he would be no more than $350.

The Hong Kong price if fair on this one. Sideshow has done a huge mark-up. Usually they markup around 10% but they went closer to 20% for Thanos as they did with Boba QS.
