I love this costume. The red to me is perfect. When I seen this my reaction was I WANT IT! for those that mentioned the boots look a little off. I actually agree after looking at them because they look like boot covers (I don't know the actual name. Flag teams or marching bands use them) But as Sab said it doesn't detract from the overall look.

I still own one, but Stealth Cap would've been absolutely amazing...if it had matched the prototype! :gah:

I agree! I would have purchased it and this suit. I'm just hoping they don't mess up this one and we can all have cool modern version of Cap.

Spats is the word you're looking for here. :) But yea, that was my first reaction too, "I need this figure!" I think it has just the right amount of red. I ordered the Strike suit Cap too, so now I get the best of both worlds! Classic red, white and blue and the more toned down darker blue. :yess:

Do you have the Stealth Cap? I have him on order and I'll get him despite your answer, but I am curious to know how bad it really is. I'm not much for modding figures, so I'll probably have to keep his stock look.

I do, but I have yet to open him :slap, so I can't really verify. Just going by pictures, the shoulders, the biceps, the chest and the torso in general aren't as buff as they appeared in the prototype pics.

Whether or not that is acceptable is up to the collector. What is not up for debate is the lack of articulation in the arms and shoulders. You can't lift the figure's arms up very high, so you can't replicate Cap storing the shield onto his back.

Cutting out and removing the "undershirt" will help, but only slightly. I think one of the Freaks here did major mods, but his name escapes me at the moment.

I think it wouldn't bother me if I'd never seen the GORGEOUS prototype. But I did see it and wish my figure looked like it.

Have yet to open him? What! Not even anxious one bit?

Thank you for the in-depth reply. I'm so going to make that pose happen, one way or another. It's way too cool not to do so. Hopefully, I don't break him in the process. Thought for sure I was going to break my Star-Lord with some of the crazy poses I attempted. :lol I do remember my TFA Cap being super hard to articulate in creative ways so hopefully, it's not too much worse than that.

Your gonna have to mod him then. The elbows on mine don't bend past like 85 degrees. Arms are able to raise maybe to 4 and 8 on a clock, (6 o'clock being arms by his sides)

But man does he look sweet with the shield on his back and arms by his sides.

Good luck tho. Don't break him.

I'll try not to. I would cry...probably.

And only to a 4 and 8 position, that is terrible! I'll figure something out, I hope. Either way, it's Cap and I'll love him anyway. :)

He looks fantastic but articulation sucks, I have not modded mine just because of the way i have him displayed. The body does not bother me at all.

I would agree with all that have been said on Stealth Cap. He's my favourite looking Cap, it's just a same on the under suit restricting the articulation, and the spats. I would have preferred it if the boots were one molded piece, like the TFA Cap.

That it does.....
I hope they can get the arm shape right with this one but also give it better articulation

Since everyone is so upset with the articulation on this figure, what are your thoughts on the articulation of all the other Cap figures? Because none of them are very good. I would suspect AoU Cap won't be much different.

Excellent point. Haven't messed with him in a while, but I remember avengers cap articulation being pretty bad.

I don't mind since I have my figures in museum poses...good museum poses. XD

I do the same. They get crazy dynamic poses in photos, but once they just sit there, it's a very basic pose. This way, I avoid strain on joints and/or clothing.
