Holy crap, Ultron Prime looks so badass in your newest sig Brainiac!
Probably one of my most favorite shots from the trailers so far, along with the one where he's ripping the wiring off his head.:clap

Ultron looks great here.

If Hot Toys can NAIL the proportions of his neck and head there, I'll be happy. Hell, if they completely nailed his overall proportions, I would be happy. What we saw at the Toy Show was a little off but it still looks fine. I don't understand why it's so hard for HT to nail proportions on their more tech-y robot characters when they can just use the 3D scans.

For one, when they start these figures most of the time the figure design is not even completed. I don't get why everyone assumes they just get 3d files from marvel. But even if they did, a 3d file of a completly cgi character (or any character) does not take realistic movement into consideration. It does not take into account places for batteries, how to wire a figure (wiring to LEDs and switches and batteries). It does not take manufacturing capabilities and tolerances and different machines into account.

If they where making a 3d printed statue with no lights a 3d file would be fine. That is not what they are in fact making. And, as I stated, they often don't have access to at all, or only early incompleted 3d files.

It's like saying I have a 3d render of a car...why won't my 3d printer just make a working car?

Its all in the eyebrows. Hopefully HT correct the issue before production on the figure starts.
I'm not sure...I think it's more in the lines around the mouth. They look less like old-man whiskers on that magazine cover, and more like part of a high-tech face of a menacing robotic villain. But that's just my initial opinion.

For me it's the eyebrows. The figure right now has too much of a relaxed expression. Give the brows a bit of expression like in the EW cover and he'll look more menacing.

Yeah I think it's the eyebrows. The panel lines on Ultron's face also seems to shift depending on his expression, so it's highly possible that HT went for the more neutral expression since it could be easier for them to sculpt. Also to get the proportions right, I think his head needs to be wider (almost like a rounded diamond shape), while the neck needs to be thicker.

Someone should pester HT about the changes that need be made. :lol

One thing's for certain, Ultron Prime's face is much better than Ultimate Ultron's

I wouldn't necessarily say better until I see the film, but I must say that Ultron Prime is my most favorite Ultron design in the film by far.
:hi5:

It's the same face. The difference between prime and ultimate is a vibranium shell/coating. Ultron steals wakanda vibranium reserve/supply and coats is body with it. Turning from prime to ultimate.

If HT is willing to do the correct proportions.. I will be willing to get one Prime. He looks awesome in that EW photo. But this isn't the first time we are lied about a Ultron on the EW cover lol.

OK, you guys have convinced me! Now that I am looking at it again, the arched eyebrow look does give him a more menacing appearance. I wonder if HT will lean this way for the final, production version, or if what we see so far is what we are going to get. I'm in either way, but it would be awesome to make Ultron Prime a little bit more menacing.

The face isn't the same. He has huge cheekbones and the eyes are different. I prefer Prime.
