I love Ultron, but there's no denying that he's immature in his reasoning even with all the knowledge he has (which I absolutely loved, mind you!).

Spader even characterized him as pseudo-14 year old boy while portraying the character...

I agree. And I think he was handled great in the film. My comment was in response to another user that posted hot toys missed the mark becuase in the film he was commanding and menacing. Which he wasn't. He was childish. Becuase he is essentially as you described a child. When a teenager gets angry I don't see command or menace..I see petulant and angry and whiney and whatnot. So to say hot toys got it wrong becuase they didn't make him commanding is just to off the mark and misses not only the movie design but the character.

Hot Toys got it wrong. Had they not, their Prime figure would look menacing.

I always give hot toys slack when they make cgi characters into a real thing. It's difficult and I can't believe they get it was close as they do.

Yeah, but do you give them $375 worth of slack?

Because the figure lacks ferocity, alotta people won't buy it. HT really are shooting themselves in the foot by missing the mark on his intensity.

The last display pic wasn't too bad. I think in order to make him look more ferocious, they need to change his facial expression. His neutral face is lame and I think that's a design flaw from the movie not the figure. He kind of just looks like a guy, not a murderous robot like the terminator. I know he's supposed to have human qualities and that's what makes him interesting but a neutral expression is just not scary. I accept that so I'm okay with the figures appearance

Well it's good only your opinion matters...

There are as many or more scenes where he looks goofy, silly, odd, petulant, gassey, constipated.

The point was and is hot toys was given production art early before the film was done, before the CG was complete, and not a full movie. They may never have seen any of the scenes you posted single stills from.

If you don't like it don't buy it. If you think you know best and better then pony up the cash yourself and start a company. You act like 375 is outrageous. It's not. It's also not cheap for a toy, I get that. But do some research and see how much it actually costs to make.

Hot toys didn't get it wrong...they just didn't do exactly what you wanted. But the company that owns and approves this character seems to think they are doing a good job. Most of the 1/6 collecting community does as well. Since they are by far the largest most successful in their industry. I've not seen a single figure that competes with hot toys ultron...or really any hot toys figure...by a company that actually has a license.

So what more can they do then be the best by a long margin.

Exactly. That's why unless they correct the problem I'm not spending $375 on him.

Ultron Prime looks AMAZING in this recent group shot. Also if one looks closely, they've corrected the chest details! :clap

He looks awesome because he photoshopped his eyes. :lol Wish they would let us leave the LED's on at all times for this guy.

Glad they beefed his legs up. Now if Ultimate Ultron doesn't get a release, I'm okay with getting this as a consolation
