Yeah , I know , but I felt the need to reply about the "scalper" thing. Obviously he must offer a worldwide price and some people will see that price too high for them but many people outside US will find that price as a good deal. That's why I think that's unfair to call him (or other China sellers) scalper.
The issue with Timcent is that he adjusts his prices a lot. Once something starts selling, he hikes up the price. It's fine and all he can do what he wants but yeah...annoying.

That's how places stay in business. Can't complain about prices going up when you know they also go down.

I'll get him eventually, just not desperate enough to pay over the odds.

Timcent is a great guy and his prices are generally pretty fair when you consider that he is getting the products to you far sooner than you would otherwise receive them and shipping with a low value so you don't get stung by customs. Not to mention that he doesn't charge extra for shipping. He actually emailed me to say that Ultron is really expensive at the moment and that he will let me know when the price drops.

This is how I view things.

How much a figure is worth is how much I feel it's worth to me. Some figures to me aren't even worth retail to have in my collection so if they eventually go down in price later on at some point, maybe I'll get it. But I won't kick myself if I don't have it. Some I pay retail right when they go up for PO because I know for a fact that I want them and therefore, they're worth at least retail to me. Others I'm willing to pay more than retail on the after market, but only up to a certain price.

That's why to the people who kick themselves when a figure ultimately ends up decreasing in price after they bought it at retail I say, just simply enjoy your figure without any regrets. You obviously felt it was worth the price that you paid for it, so enjoy it.

Holy ****, he's already here! It's been less than a week. XD That was hands down the quickest I've ever had a Hot Toys figure come to me from Hong Kong. I'm so excited! Woo! The box is huuuge.

How does it compare to AoU Hulk's box? If you have AoU Hulk, that is.

Mine's come :D

huh?.. raising prices when something starts selling well is how places stay in business? i always thought that places stay in business by offering reasonable prices, providing quality customer service, and being reliable.

if BBTS raised prices on all of the things they see selling well, i know i wouldn't use them as much as i do. it's one thing to raise prices off the bat.. it's another to see that something is selling well and raising prices because you know you can make more money. something about that just seems a bit dishonest. but hey, that's just how i feel.

I should rephrase, (as I over simplified) it's how reselling business stay in business. (And yes, btw, bbts does in fact raises prices when things sell well. They did it for Cap and star lord)

(No one thing makes a business ksuccesful. It's many many things. But without the ability to offset the losses of poor selling figures and ones that get clearanced by raising the price on the few that sell really well they would not be able to stay in business long)

It's how they can manage when a figure like Zod or tonto or dcmk3 or whiplash or Igor drop in price...it averages out when they have ones like starlord and cap and others that increase. Otherwise they would never be able to offset the losses on figures. Yes, they make money on the average sale by buying it from secret base, where its cheaper then sideshow. But when a figure drops in value or doesn't sell, like those I listed, that profit is non existent. If they want to offset that lose they need to raise the prices on figures that sell really well. Then the low selling and the high selling figures equal out.

In the last 3 or 4 years I can think of at least three large hot toys dealers that have gone bell up. And all three where known to have good customer services, reliable, and competitive prices. That stuff doesn't matter nearly as much as you think.

Could someone who has it please confirm if it's 2 or if it's 3 AAs ..... pretty please :) :) :)

EDIT: It's 3 AAA batteries, not AAs. Youtube video is wrong, unless the USA version is different.

If you have any of the other Aou figures the ultron box is nearly the same. It's just like 6 inches taller.

I'll end up having all of them except 4 at the moment (WM, HB, Vision and Ultron Mk 1).

I figured UP's box would indeed be tall, just not as massive as Hulk's box.

Well, he's as big as hulk so it's not crazy. Lol he's so big.

I have all the ones that have been released so far as well. Just waiting on the others to drop and then the next PO to go up. Mk 1 looks cool..but I'm more interested in the sentry.

I don't usually, or at least had not in the past, been a big fan of villains or displayed them much. But the last couple years there are some really cool ones. From whiplash mk2 to ultron and thanos. I'm looking forward to yellow jacket too. I am a big fan of that design.

What's keeping me at bay from feeling the inclination to get the Sentry or Mk 1 is the fact that they are at least represented in some capacity on the Mk 45 and 43 bases, respectively. If I do pick up any more, it'd be WM and Vision.

I've been getting more villains recently too. Yellow Jacket I'm not sure I'd get, but I really hope the figure goes up for PO because it's too neat of a design to not get a figure for him.
