are his eyes moveable? or are they just molded in such a way that they look good in several different directions?

I missed this post yesterday. I agree, tighter joints are way better than looser. I rather hear the creaks and struggle to lift the arm a bit than to have a floppy mess that can't hold a pose

I'm already sold on any Ultron version they give us as long as it turns out as good as this. My only concern about the MK 1 is the articulation. I'm hoping HT will impress us in the end with that

:clap Great pics and I like what you did with the Infinity Stones.

What do you think of the Toys Era Cap Shield?

yeah, i'm really curious about the articulation for the mark 1. man, it's such a creepy looking figure.. it's definitely one of my favorite parts of the movie. i really hadn't planned on getting it, but if the reviews are solid and the articulation is on point, i may not be able to resist.

yeah, those shots are great, both of you.. i love the shot with the iron man helmet, mjolnir, and cap's shield.

Thanks!, I love that Shield it feels very sturdy and heavy.
And the cracked look, looks great!

What happened to poor Vision...!

lol Thanos needed his Mind stone, so Ultron fetched it for him haha

These are honestly some of the best in-hand photos I've seen of this figure. :clap

Agreed. I can't wait to get this guy!

Thanks guys! I always like to take my pictures in a detolf under normal/dioder lighting like most collector's would display them.
So to let pple see what they'll be getting in their own collections, instead of photoshopping pictures.
And I like to pose the hell outta them, to see what can be achieved. If I wanted museum pose figures, I would have started collecting statues.

I hate the thought of people buying these figures and just leaving them in museum pose, without ever having a play with them.

That's what I do. My action pose consists of widening the legs a little and turning the head to the left or right depending on what side of the detolf it's on.

How dare you expect collectors to play with Hot Toys.

I buy Lego to build, play and fly around my house but I'm not playing around with $200+ toys. One scratch and my OCD would tilt and I'd spend a fortune on replacement parts.

I like how people like to use the company name to prove these are something people should "play with". I consider them art. But that's me. Using the name to me, that's just silly. Is State Farm an actual state, or on a farm? Is Rocket mortgage a company that sells rockets? Is Best Buy really the best? It's a name. Not a description. Lol

The same way that you can find it silly that the name "Hot Toys" can be used to describe them as toys, the same way that I can just as easily find it silly that you consider these as works of "art" especially as someone who actually does Fine Arts. What I'm saying is that it was obviously meant to be tongue in cheek and not to be taken so seriously.

Besides I've played with Hot Toys enough and I find that treating them as such doesn't really detract them from being great pieces of work. Hell I welcome it, because we wouldn't even have half the awesome pics we'd get if everyone kept handling them oh-so delicately like expensive works of art and settle with putting them in museum poses all the time.

I play with mine in the bath tub

but seriously I usually play around with my new figs for a couple weeks before setting them up for display

when I got my first iron man(MK IV) I played with that thing for like, a month before settling on a pose I liked

i don't hate the thought, people can do with them what they want.. but i agree, i couldn't just take one out of the packaging and place it in a case and that's it. if that's all i did, i'd probably invest in statues more so than these. (whenever possible)

i love getting a new one, taking it out of it's packaging, trying out all of the accessories, test out the range of the joints, try out all of its features, pose them, then re-pose them, then re-pose them.. for me there's never really the "right" pose. i like changing them fairly often, adding battle damage, removing battle damage, adding weapons, using the repulser hands, using the stand for flying poses. that's why i love the added articulation we've seen in some figures. like iron man's rear button that allows for better landing poses. i mean, these types of figures are articulated right down to their fingers (which i like positioning as well). i just can't imagine posing them once and being done with it. i love watching one of the movies, seeing a scene and trying to recreate a pose from that scene.

for me posing and fiddling with them is 50% of the fun of owning one of these. i think that's why i'm a bit disappointed with the lack of accessories included with this particular figure. though pictures have shown that he's capable of several awesome poses.. it still would've been nice to have had a different more angered head, maybe some laser beamed hands, and even some battle damaged parts. a thrown and shawl would've been awesome as well, but thanos was a much shorter, less detailed figure and he's currently $415. so i throne for ultron would've thrown the price way up and probably out of the range for a lot of people.

anyways, these are toys, works of art, engineering marvels (sometimes), and impressive show pieces all rolled into one. they're wonderful.

but like i said, people can do with them whatever they like, to each their own.

They're your toys, handle them however you want. I don't tell others how to play with them based on how I play with them and I expect the same. :)

And for the record, they're "toys" that I wouldn't give to any child to play with as a "toy". There's a reason why the instructions recommend age 15 and up. :lol

I kind of see them as cheaper statues that can be posed. When I open mine I just check for defects and put it on the stand in a museum pose and leave it as is. I feel the opposite of a few posters above where I don't really get pleasure out of moving it around, testing the joints and accessories, I like placing it in the detolf and looking at them. As mentioned before I buy Lego and Transformers to fiddle with but don't see any reason to fiddle with Hot Toys.
