Well I already have $242 in rewards, but they were to wait and put this up for pre order later, I can get more reward points from the stuff I have on order that is stuck on the docks of the West Coast.

I might use some RP to soften the sticker shock myself. I've been building them up for the past 3-4 years just waiting for the next big thing to it. I don't know how much I've banked because I like to keep it as a little trapdoor pocket account, but it's possible I have enough to cover the whole figure or at least a huge chunk of it. Then again I might just continue hording until the next, next big thing. Something about taking my RP down to zero doesn't sit well, so maybe I'd cash in $200-$300 or so.

This will definitely be one of the centerpiece figures in the collection. Really glad HT is planning the reveal with the IM head. However given the complexity of the piece and the inevitable huge price point I would really be surprised to see this solicited before the end of 2015. I think they are going to focus on selling though the core figures first and let the anticipation for this one continue to build.

Pricewise I don't see this being above $750. Anything above that is asking too much and I wonts pay it I tells ye...

Igor is right over $500 and Hulkbuster is like what, a third bigger?

I just blew about $170 in points on Igor. But by the time HB goes up for PO I should have a bunch more accumulated. That said, he's likely going on flex for me.

Not wanting it over 750 is fine. But I have no trouble seeing it over that mark. This is the largest and most complex then they have yet to make, in overall size plus girth. The batmobile and delorean are both large, but are desiged to work in the real world. It's not common but there are 1/6 and 1/4 scale cars out there. But a figure this size and quality is pretty unique. There are those big rotocast retail figures and things like mysize Barbie ect. But a full fleshed out high end figure that's nearly 2 ft tall... U would not be shocked if this was north of 1k. I hope it's a lot less.

You guys gotta stop guessing high prices. Hot Toys is gonna read this thread and say wow people expect this to be close to $1K, lets charge that price then.

I can guarantee it won't be 1k. Sure its a great big giant 1/6 scale figure with tons of detail and a nice paintjob but not enough to justify a 1k pricetag. That's high end statue and prop territory. It is plastic after all, not diecast. Most people will pay $700 - 800 max for this which is about the right price.

Anything south of $800 would be welcome. Anything north of that number would not be a surprise however. I was thinking today that I won't be surprised to see Sideshow produce a 1:4 Hulkbuster Maquette/LSF. It would be almost 3-feet tall, probably $1,500 and an absolute beast. I'd probably buy it.

Easily $1000, but yeah, anything below that will be a welcome surprise, anything over $1200 I'll have to seriously think about it.

Guarantee huh? So you work at hot toys and know the pricing then?

Yes it's plastic. So what. I know things made out of poop that cost thousands. That's meaningless. It's in high end prop and statue territory? Again, don't see why that makes a difference. That's the same market and group of collector this will be aimed at.

Do I think it will be under a grand, probably. But that doesn't mean it will be. It's pure guessing.

Why does simple speculation about what something might cost, in a hobby we all love, cause such negativity? No one knows anything for sure, so why don't we just chill, mkay?

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AOU - Hulkbuster

Just ignore him, you'll be better of.

This will cost close to a freaking thou, and it will sell. If i was HT, i'd make the damn thing with 2% Diecast and sell it at $1,500.

"Diecast series".
