Anyone know if the Winter Soldier suit will fit the AoU body? I know there are a few minor tweaks to the body is certain areas, so wondering if they'll afect the older suit fitting. Wasn't planing on picking up a Widow, but it seems wrong to leave her out of the team.

I own all of the Widow figures and I can confirm the bodies for Avengers, Winter Soldier and Age of Ultron are all the same. The only difference is the tailoring and the cut of the suits. With each new release the suits for Widow keep getting better, to me, in how they fit the figures but the bodies from the last 3 figures are the same.

Hey man, I also own all three... and while I haven't stripped them to check, I could swear my A1's body is thicker than my WS's body. Maybe it's their outfits...but WS's body defintely seems slimmer to me.
Are you saying that it is just the suits?

My opinion is this:
A1 - Best face sculpt (some swear by WS, but I feel like her nose is too large. A1 has a smaller, more porportioned nose)
WS - Best Hair (AoU is the worst hair, way too frizzy and hard to make it look good. Even after I worked with it washed and trimmed it) A1's I like a lot, and maybe I'd like best if I dared to work with it a bit)
AoU - Best costume. Again, this is just opinion. I like the "Superhero" look to it. They are all great though. But A1's and WS' (especially WS) are more Shield Agent style. If you like the Shield look then WS has probably the best. Very slimming look too.

So as you can see, each has someting over the others.

I would agree completely on all fronts and that does help a lot. I like reading peoples opinions on these figures I like A1's costume and sculpt and WS's outfit and hair. The AOU one I just like the outfit, oh and accessories.
If I could only have one it would be Avengers 1 Widow I love the Shield outfit

I pretty much agree with the General when it comes to the Black Widow releases so far. Here are my personal choices: Avengers has the best face, I think Iron Man 2 has the best hair, Age of Ultron has the best suit, hands and gauntlets, Winter Soldier has the best boots. I think Age of Ultron also has the best accessories with the batons and the widow's sting affect.

I am not ashamed to admit that every figure I own I strip to better understand the mechanics of the body, the joints and to see if there is anything new. I feel it prevents breakage and being adept with a needle and thread I have confidence I can usually re-dress any figure. With that being said I loved the Avengers Widow body so much that I bought an additional 10 bodies to use on other figures like Abigail Whistler, SSC Harley Quinn, Catwoman and the Baroness. The great thing is that HT kept using the body for Maleficent as well as Winter Soldier and now Age of Ultron. Yes they look different clothed but that's because the cut and tailoring of the folks at HT has improved with each release so the Winter Soldier looks better than Avengers and Age of Ultron looks the best of the group including Iron Man 2 Widow. Just a word to the wise, all of my IM2 Widows that have been on display have peeling on their suits.
I really cannot argue with your breakdown of the best of the HT Black Widows released so far.

The IM 2 Widow does seem antiquated these days but I always liked the face and hair. I just wish it was more in scale with the current Widow body.

I don't any of the Black Widow figures, but I have been considering one. But I only want to buy one and I am not sure if I want one of the last three versions or perhaps if I should just wait for Civil War's version.

After looking at various pictures and reviews here is where I am at...

I think the AOU version is the best quality figure. I like how the suit on her doesn't make her look too thin. I like the head sculpt but feel meh about the hair. Getting this one would be easiest though because it is out now and I wouldn't have to worry about after market prices, but I really don't like this version of the costume (which isn't HT's fault). The Blue, Tron like, piping and the red highlights just seem too colorful to me and I prefer the spy look more than the superhero look.

I think the WS version is in the lead for my favorite so far. I like the hair on that one, and the sculpt is still good. I like the costume design of the movie, but after seeing the AOU one I wish the WS one didn't fit in a way that makes her look too thin by comparison.

The Avengers one is Ok, but I think they've made progress in the tailoring since then. The costume looks rubbery in pictures and the gray stripes on the costume looks printed on. I know some people prefer the head sculpt on this one, but I think I prefer the WS or AOU sculpt better.

And then there is whatever will come out with Civil War. I am thinking this has a good chance of being the best one, but the only pictures I have seen of her in her classic costume has been the photo-shopped painted promo images so it's hard to know for sure what the costume will be like.

If I can find a good price, I'd actually like to get the IM2 Widow because of its larger body. With the suit, I think I can make her into an Agents of SHIELD Mockingbird

According to what you've essentially stated the "pros" and "cons" of each are, I'd go with TWS Widow in that case if you want to pick up one that's already currently out. Seems to have the highest amount of pros and the least amount of cons. However, you could always restyle the AoU Widow's hair (which I believe many did) and that could eliminate the hair issue out of the "cons" category.

Or as you mentioned, you could wait until CW and see what that one is like. I don't really think Widow prices really climb too high (if at all) on the secondary market, so it's likely that by the time the CW Widow figure comes out, you'd still be able to pick-up any of its predecessors at a reasonable price.

I couldn't be happier with AOU Black Widow. I love the suit and the gauntlets(I could do without the blue lining tho) and the sculpt it great. Trust me, if you fix the hair a little bit, Johansson's profile is brought out a lot more.
