I don't know which one I'm going to keep since I just want to keep my collection to one per character.

Going into collecting HT, I thought I could pull off this mantra but I quickly learned it was impossible.

You buy a figure and love it. Six months later they make that figure again but add a few things. You try to convince yourself "you don't need it". In the end, you're miserable every time you see a new version and you end selling that figure you once loved. Its a style of collecting in which you can never really love anything because you end up parting with it for the sake of "upgrading".

I own five Caps. Three Iron Men. 2 Thors. When I see a new iterations of characters I own, I don't get stressed and start scrambling to sell what I have. Instead I buy the new versions and am fascinated in seeing the evolution of the costumes and in HT's sculpting when displaying them together.

In other words, I have no rules when collecting HT. I'll buy whatever catches my eye if there's money in the bank I know I can spend.

Well Said! I feel the same :goodpost: :hi5:

Yeah, the whole "selling to upgrade" every time a new version comes out takes the joy from collecting and also keeps you from enjoying what you have. I was fortunate that I only did that a couple times, but I regretted it each time.

No more of that for me.

it's a matter of shelf space too. I've made a list of all the figures I plan to get up until The Inhumans movie and I just don't have room for more than one version of Hawkeye or any other character. I literally have spots in my display reserved for Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Vision, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and Ant-Man. Though in 3-4 years, who knows, I might be living somewhere else lol

:exactly: :goodpost: I agree!! No rules for me either... If I like a figure enough I will buy it regardless of how many of the previous versions I've already got.

I'd like to know how a spouse can go from, in one moment... "you've got to have all of those!", to giving that disapproving Marge Simpson grumble/frown when you talk about pre-ordering another figure in another... :dunno :pfft:
