I made a few mods to this guy...i brightened up the whites of his eyes which i think helps to bring out more Hamill...i also repainted the hair as i was never happy with the metallic copper color of the original...and i repainted the boots as well..
And i finally gave the pants a "tea bath" to darken them up...

Nice job on both repaints, Matrix.
Nice work - do you have a pic of the hair with no hat? The copper-top hair has been one of my irks with this fig from day one.
As much as I think the ANH Luke sculpt is quite possibly HT?s worst SW sculpt, I do prefer it over the Jnix one. I?m just not a fan of the Jnix sculpt and don?t see Hamill in it at all. I think perhaps it?s because of the expression. Even though the HT one is fairly dismal, I can kind of see Hamill in it because of the expression. Dare I say I actually kinda see Christopher Reeve in the Jnix one more so than I do Hamill.
And making the cop-top (copper hairpiece) more blonde on the HT sculpt certainly improves it. Nice touch up!
With a great paint job, I think the Jnix sculpt has more than an edge on the HT effort:

Hermit Luke by HT (at least in the promo pics; I can't say for in-hand) was perfect to me. I'm hoping the next Luke, most likely Bespin, nails it.
That?s probably the best it?s ever looked. But it still never registered as a dead ringer for Hamill to me. I don?t think there?s ever been a perfect Luke. The best I?ve seen is the windswept ROTJ sculpt from Inigo.
Agreed.
THIS is the Luke I wanted. Hair was inexplicably dark, but that sculpt was awsome.

LOLLooks a bit like the live-action version of the He-Man Luke from Kenner 1995. Luke never looked that cool, that stern or that tough.
That said, it is a great repaint whoever did it.
Yes it is. ROTFL!I think that's the Ht proto isn't it? I seem to recall it looked better as a proto.
