I was intending to display my entire OT collection in detolfs but at the moment I really like the idea of having the option of all the main characters together on a single shelf. Or maybe the rebels on one and the empire on another. I'm currently looking into solutions.

Detolfs to me look amazing for two figures per shelf. After that it really looks crowded to me. In most cases there are good natural pairings, but that'll never beat a row of heroes or imperials side by side.

Funny, when people come over they ask permission (with some trepidation) before touching any of my 1/6. I'm all:

"Go to town. Have fun with it."

Of course, it trashes the posing and the futzing, but I like sharing the fun of these items, so people can see why I get a kick out of 'em, and re-posing and re-futzing is part of the fun. I'm not a statue collector for that reason.

Ohhhhh hell no. :lol

Yep exactly what I'm struggling with. I would like to do heroes (luke, leia, obi, han, chewie, yoda, r2, and 3po) on one shelf with vader, emperor, and stormy army on another. Could be waiting awhile for hot toys yoda and emperor. The other characters and variations of main characters would go in the detolfs.

I'm picturing vader ferociously defending a cheerios box on the dining room table?

Not quite.

We're doing renos (still!) and moving some stuff around, but I had troopers on the floor in a corner of the living room, the odd 1/6 figure next to the couch in the studio, still have Bruce Lee, Spider-Man and a Stormtrooper on a low shelf out in the open.

My own preference these days is to have everything in one spot, but in deference to the woman's sensibilities I haven't yet done a closed display shelf (that could change in the future by necessity). We don't have much of a dust issue here anyway, so it's not really necessary.

Someone in an earlier post mentioned how the Luke figure looks like Tom Cruise; since then that's all I see. :(

Jeez, I was only planning on picking up Obi and the new Vader but after browsinf through these forums I have about 10 figures on PO.

Looks like some overtime is in the works. Lol

I'm guessing it's all about the paint job and just a touch on the sculpt if anything. It's amazing what a gifted painter can bring out that's already there on a sculpt but that is hidden by even a slightly lower caliber paint job.
