Mine arrived yesterday and this figure is the business! Likeness is not 100% Mark Hamill but very close, the paint app is fantastic and one of the most life-like headsculpts I've owned. Hot Toys once again show why they're the best. :clap

Strange there's no weathering on that old gun nor the poncho.

Unfortunately that poncho looks to be made of the same material that doesn't accept weathering very well so maybe that's why.

I wish people took more pics with Luke and the grappling line. Odd as it may be, I'm interested in posing my Luke with the st belt and grappling hook as opposed to lightsaber or blaster.

That's not odd. What could be more 1977 Star Wars than Luke and Leia about to swing across the chasm?

Thanks for the pics guys. That puts my mind at ease knowing I could separate the arms at different ends of the double jointed elbow. I may end up picking up a second non exclusive for parts and sell the rest.

Hot Toys is giving us what we wanted for all these long years after DX07. It's a great time to be collecting 1/6!!!

Yeah, kind of what I'm going for with the twins. You'd like it -- all whites and creams. :)

My original display idea back when HT Star Wars was a rumour: Luke, Leia, three Stormtroopers.

Still tempted to do that one, but it doesn't really fit with the rest of the curated display. Ah, obsessive Geekdom... ;)

You could hang Luke and Leia from the ceiling swinging across your living room, high and out of the way.

My woman would take them down from the ceiling and beat me with them.

Actually that'd be too much for me, as well. ;)

How many figures would she allow in a public portion of your house? I saw three Snowtroopers once I think, is that the number?

Oh she actually prefers it when figures are naturalistically scattered around the house...it's the "creepy collector cabinet" (her words) that she doesn't like.

But she wouldn't enjoy seeing anything hanging from the ceiling. Who knows, maybe she would, if they were in our studio, which is the more informal space.

Just not sure I'd like it.

Creepy collector cabinet. :lol It's very true. Don't touch!

Funny, when people come over they ask permission (with some trepidation) before touching any of my 1/6. I'm all:

"Go to town. Have fun with it."

Of course, it trashes the posing and the futzing, but I like sharing the fun of these items, so people can see why I get a kick out of 'em, and re-posing and re-futzing is part of the fun. I'm not a statue collector for that reason.

I was intending to display my entire OT collection in detolfs but at the moment I really like the idea of having the option of all the main characters together on a single shelf. Or maybe the rebels on one and the empire on another. I'm currently looking into solutions.
