Yeah, in shots like that it makes me very happy with my HT head. :lol

The paint work could be better on the jnix heads.

I don't think that one was painted by Jnix. I think Mark Simpson painted or added real hair to it.

Ah I see. I generally like Mark's paint apps. He did wonderfully on the Catwoman sculpts.

The sculpt is so good that if I had purchased it unpainted I would have been willing to wait as long as it takes and pay a ton of money to get it painted by one of the best painters. Probably means I would have never had a quality paint up of the sculpt. Instead I had Jnix paint it for an extra $90 and it really was a great decision. It may not be perfect but I have a mini Ford as Solo now. If the Luke sculpt turns out well I'll definitely have that painted by Jnix as well.

Great pic. Also shows just how subtle that hair sculpt is.

:duff Paint-wise Hot Toys will likely beat everyone when it comes to the eyes. Those decals they use combined with the gloss paint almost look like real 1:1 eyes even under a macro lens. But with the over head lights the brow shadows the eyes easily. I was doing that on the HT sculpt anyhow.

I was hoping to see what Jacob Rahmier would do with the sculpt as I saw his name early on the interest list, but not sure if he got a sculpt or not. That Indy he did for paramore is just absolutely gorgeous.

I guess it is the lighting, this doesn't look as glossy :yess: but I wouldn't go shooting this in dark lighting either. Looks like he has no eyes :dunno

BEAUTIFUL photo, dude!!!!

This thing is truly one of the most accurate, spectacular sculpts I have ever seen. Amazing...

This is the studio shot Mark Simpson took of my Jnix Han headsculpt after he painted it and added the hair. To me it looks absolutely perfect and personally I prefer it to Jnix's paint-up, as awesome as that is. Unfortunately my crappy iPhone pics can never quite do it justice!!

Solid paint up right there. Really looking forward to getting that sculpt in a few weeks.

Great Han pictures.... but where is Leia's new dress..???

Yup - now I'm worried. Tony has gone silent on them... :(

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS298 - Star Wars: Episode IV - Leia Organa Collectible Figure

I sold off the exclusive crapdrop to possibly help fund the dress.
