I'm not particularly interested in the character or movie but that is an awesome figure and costume. HT killed this one.

So ready for this now! Also, there's a variant of the figure that would make a REALLY good exclusive....

Hank Pym as Ant-Man. New headsculpt. Maybe make the suit look newer? Could be cool. I'd love a Janet Van Dyne Wasp, too, but that seems less likely.

A wasp figure would be great!

Technically any Ant-Man, Yellowjacket, and Wasp(I guess? I haven't seen the movie yet) figures are 1:1, which I think is really really cool.

Also even though they're nowhere near the same level of detail, I'd like to see Marvel Select/Legends/Universe with this to make an awesome growing effect from the tiny one with the Marvel Legends up to Hot Toys.

I've already had that in mind.

Someone need to go about making that tiny Ant Man a stand too. For continuity sakes.

And a Thomas the Train engine...

That figure may cost 3 dollars to produce, though I doubt it.

And yes, vision is a new figure. With reused accessories. Dropping the price overall. It's also the 40th or whatever figure from the movie, thus the licensing cost for that movie is spread out over a lot more figures. For antman it's probably 2-3 figures.

I agree I would rather pay 220 then 235. But they don't just throw darts and a wall to pick prices. Otherwise the iron legion wouldn't cost sub 200. There are so many things that factor into a price. For this its not just a new figure, but it's a new figure, with light up features (vision doesn't have that) with an enclosed HS in a helmeted head. It's a first for lighted with the Face sculpt. Even though it's been done by customize before, adding it to a hand assembled and hand painted mass market figure adds time. Each few minutes of time if these to produce adds man hours. That adds costs. To keep the figures profits at the right margins some cost more some less.

A Hasbro 3 3/4 figure is much more detailed and accessories are included for $10. More than 1/3 the size, the price is no more than $3. Hot Toy probably found a vendor to make it for them, same with those mini figs that come with tank.

I was always under the assumption that Hot Toys had the rights to the MCU, where they did not have to go movie to movie getting rights. It would be like them going movie to movie for Star Wars. I don't know how it works, but that's what I always assumed.

I can understand the last part. Although I still say this is $10 overpriced to me, not a deal breaker, but, :dunno

Loved the movie! I'll pick this dude up. He will look awesome in amongst his Avenger cohorts.

My only disappointment about the movie was that

Cassie never got shrunken at all. I literally thought that when Darren was holding her, and Scott was gonna throw one of the discs at them, it would shrink Cassie so she would somewhat at least be exposed to the Pym Particles but that's just me REALLY REALLY REALLY wanting them to at least seed Cassie eventually becoming Stature someday, but that doesn't mean that she still can't. Cassie got her powers just by being around Scott for so much as Ant-Man. That's just a big hope for Young Avengers someday...but the movie was pretty good! It was all around very fun and reminded me of Iron Man 1 in some instances.

Great movie. One of my favourite origin stories. People should get this figure as it represents Hank Pym as well.

Also did anybody notice that
Yellowjacket's lasers had Star Wars laser sound effectsgirl Falcon was talking to says there are guys who Also was Spider-man referenced in the ending? The girl Falcon was talking to says that “We got guys who jump. We got guys who swing. We got guys who climb up walls”. Who else could she be referring to?

Movie still or Hot Toys figure?

There a reason...
... The human characters needs a mask before they shrink.... they cannot breath air molecules without passing through the pym particles.

The enlarged ant by right should have died too... it cannot utilise air or food of normal atoms...
