I think I'm the only guy digging the new suit

My point of view on this is that it's just a side view of the character. I feel that I should at least the whole suit rather than basing it on a weird 45 angle.

Not sayin' I don't like film designs, only that MCU's "old school" costume looks nothing like old school Ant-Man.
More like an updated version of Black Ant (made by Japanese, of course).

More like an updated version of Black Ant (made by Japanese, of course).

Uh, ok. Other then the helmet the suit is just slightly different. Mostly just colored different.

My point was you said the MCU was like power ranger and the classic suit from the comic wasn't so the comic suit was better. I'm summarizing but that essentially it. Which I just don't see. Personally I thing both look a bit silly (comic and mcu) but the comic is much closer that that video you posted. Large solid color sections with no texture or definition with clean round shapes and straight lines. The MCU version is motorcycle suit with a custom ant shaped helmet. (They are both not as simple as that but you get the idea)

If you don't like the MCU for some reason or think it's silly that's fine. But to say it's silly because it looks like some Japanese tv show suit, and then say the comic version is better Becuase it doesn't...that's what I think is odd. The comic suit is much closer to those power ranger things.

As far as black ant vs Classic antman...from the photo you posted the only difference is the helmet and the suits are just different colors.

Nah, was only pointin' the obvious for people who complain about CW suit lookin' "powerranger-ish".
I love classic comic book suit but it's silly as hell.
They could update it while keepin' the overall aesthetic.

I don't think it's properly out yet. But it's close. I'm in the uk and I'll probably buy from a trusted Hong Kong seller. Seems to be the cheapest option!
