Production looks on par with the proto to me.

CW antman design will be sleeked up, makes sense from merchandizing and storyline standpoint (presumably Stark helped make some upgrades again?), but I like this more retro design

Doubt Stark would help the enemy as Ant-Man is team Cap and presumably joins later in the game.

Also, Hank is less than a fan of the Stark family. I'm not sure he'd be letting Tony too near his suit..

Good point... "less than a fan" puts it mildly ha

"I spent thirty years protecting that technology from a Stark, I sure as hell don't intend to give it to another! This isn't cute technology like the Iron Man suit! This could change the techs of reality! Besides, they must already have their hands busy throwing cities out of the sky... "

I think that, umm, pretty much says it, lol..

Anyone who expected the proto sculpt to be exactly the same is probably new to hot toys and the hobby. The mass produced sculpts are never as good. How can they be as good as one that probably takes hours/days/weeks/months to do. Almost every single HT sculpt is softer in detail than the proto.

I still love the sculpt. Didnt expect it to be like the proto. The likeness is definitely there.

:exactly:

When seeing a prototype sculpt, I generally presume that the final sculpt that will come on the mass produced figures will be at the least slightly diminished in detail than the proto. That doesn't mean the finished ones are bad or that the likenesses are way off, it's just that HT probably spends a significant amount of time hand painting and fine tuning that one particular sculpt as you mentioned, so it tends to come out looking the best.

I still personally think that this sculpt looks great and I don't see any other likeness in it other than Rudd.

Haha, I stand corrected guys!

Articulation is looking good from the photos, able to pull off sprinting, jumping, kneeling poses, as an Ant-Man should!
