If this is the final product, they would have basically ruined what was possibly the best hot toys figure ever. :pow I just hope they make an identical copy to the prototype. :sick

Hopefully this is a knock off.

It's not a knock off. It's from the Shanghai hot toys store.

And it's a prototype. Don't freak out. They made multiple versions to test materials (the suit extremely hinders articulation if it's an accurate leather type material..so they are looking for a balance) and how the head attaches and things like that.

Well that prototype is the worst. That neck in itself makes it look extremely cheap. These figures are supposed to be high end replica like mini sizes of the real thing. The fact that they let that option be a prototype wigs me out! No no no no no! Come on HTs. Dont do this close to release time. Stick to the proto pics on what we ordered.

They already screwed up Finn, I don't trust their judgment. If they're displaying this in the window, they must think its a good enough representation of what they're selling. We have to let them know that this new version in its current state is unacceptable :cuss He looks like hes wearing a neck brace. Did he get pushed down the stairs? Also the colors seem slightly off. I shall write them a strongly worded Email ask them to reconsider these adjustments. :pfft:

Yikes. That's not anywhere near the quality of the proto. Hope they get it sorted before release. I'd rather it come out next year than be early released crap.

Seriously? That's a total waste of time. The people that read those messages have zero impact on anything. It's like complain to a Walmart cashier that the price is to high. They will tell you what you want to hear so they can get rid of you, and even if they agree ain't nothing gonna happen. But sure.

And let's say you got to tell Howard or JC what you thought. It's a prototype. Your telling me that now even the prototypes have to be perfect? It's gotta go straight from imagination to perfection so they don't have to worry about "strongly worded emails"? That's a bit much.

After the Stealth Cap problems I don't order until final products are shown. I made the mistake of POing the black chrome Batman before I saw the movie, fortunately Sideshow was nice enough to return my NRD.

Safest bet these days is to wait, unless there's an exclusive you really want.

Ohh he's looking pretty good! *__* Can't wait till he finally hits the stores.

But really, there's no way I can display him with that huge stand. :/ I'll probably need to buy a set of the regular ones too. Are the ones from ebay fine or do I need to watch out for something?

I have a spider Man and venom in 1 detolf shelf from Ikea and both are in those stands and fit.

I honestly don't see that much of a difference. Certainly not so much to the extent that people are losing their **** over. Prototype pictures are taken in a studio and made to look the figure look the best it can. Things always look different in more natural lighting.

Yeah I know. Not to say I think all their figures are perfect but I tend to think some people over dramatize how bad so called faults really are. Of the figures I have I've only really been slightly disappointed in one and that's more just because I had a change of heart about the film.

Same. It's looking solid still.

Swear if one person didn't mention it others wouldn't even pick up on it/comment. :lol

Plus. Sometimes they have to make fabric choices for the production piece because there are issues with the proto material. Perhaps it hinders articulation too much. Who knows but them. I'm sure HT will give us the Deadpool we've been waiting for regardless if it looks like the proto or not.

I thought Finn looked fine from the Secret Base display... maybe I should take a closer look at the pics and compare.

As far as Deadpool, a shame about the costume fabric change, but I can accept it. Although, that turtle neck... gotta agree, just seems too large. I'm hoping it's just an untucked color and you could push it down a little or something... maybe its the angle of the photo? I dunno... Here's hoping.

We'll find out soon enough!
