Maybe they'll make a couple of hypothetical figures from the cancelled Josh Trank Boba Fett movie instead of revisiting the OT.

Very odd for them to release this after the negative reaction towards Genisys, especially now that the hype has died down. But on the other hand I'm sure Hot Toys will make a profit off of this. Robots and things of that nature are extremely popular in China. And don't get me wrong it's still a neat looking figure. Shiny chrome finish, red LED eyes, super articulated, and a pretty cool rifle.

price seems steep! T-800 1/4 scale was $420, and this (not really T-800) is $250? non die-cast, not T1-T2 T-800? $200-$220 seems like the right price,

I, like many others, don't have a proper T-800 1/6 scale, I do have the T-600 and T-700, so if this goes in sale (in 2017) I might have to pick one up until they produce another true T-800 (maybe 2018, )

This release postpones a T1/T2 Endo indefinitely, maybe rules it out altogether.

Why not just use the original Cameron/Winston models.

So, need the expert opinion of you two... though I expect it to be a "no".... is this "T-800" so different as to be unacceptable to fill in for a modern version of the one we want? Can't this be like the "Classic Predator" for people wanting to pretend its the classic T1 endo...?

No current plans. I think if I did I would convince myself I was right to buy it for the first month or so...but after awhile all I'd be able to think would be ''...it's not the real endoskeleton though'' and it could very well be in my FS thread before long, with me taking a big loss as usual. I can't make all my money back on anything I purchase (least not on this forum) so I have to be careful.

It's a mileage will vary scenario. For me, no it wouldn't fill in for a real Endo. It's too different and I despise the modern-day take on the Endo-skull.

But this nevertheless is a fantastic looking figure, very intricate. I'm sure the engineering is probably incredible.

i understand... - i dont have any endo and i am pendulluming cause the details do look good on this. but then again... its from a sucked up movie,,,

Has ANY company at all done a take on the T1 Endo? I feel like no one has ever touched base on it.

It's always been stuff from T2-TG as far as the Endo goes.
