I’ve always liked the 6 over the 7. Even when both where plastic. If the 7 comes out I’ll get it and be happy. It’s a cool armor. But the 6 is my favorite design and it’s part of my two favorite scenes. The reindeer games scene and the cap/Thor/iron man woods fight. Plus throw in the final battle from im2 and the 6 is by far my favorite design. And this figure is pretty amazing and will be hard to top.

And the 7 probably won’t be out for at least a year even if it where announced today.
6 is my favorite design, favorite suit.

Also, the two movie crossover is a huge draw.

I'm guessing the 7 will be MMS 500. Been saying that for a while.

500 will be significant, and it doesn't get bigger than the 7.

Assuming all the new DC suits are as good as the 6....my three all-time favourites are the 4, 6 and 7. Don’t know that I need all of them but it’s a tempting thought.

The 4 should more or less be the same as the 6..just without all the reindeer games weapons.

The 7 could be interesting. Lots of battle damage parts maybe. Helmeted sculpt, regular head, and masked head. That would be my guess.

I’ll get all three. I can’t help myself. Some day I’ll stop buying everything man. Some day.

I get that this is heresey, but honestly... The seven isn't my favourite suit. There's nothing wrong with it, it just doesn't stand out to me.

I like the six because it mixes a lot of classic sensibilities (i.e. the patterning recalls the original red and gold armour of the comics, and some of the same design language has been carried forward) with the modern Adi Granov/Extremis styling. Additionally, I grew up with the pentagonal reactor, and I think the triangle reactor is the perfect update to that look. Finally, of the early, more industrial looking armours, I think it has the cleanest and coolest design.

I also own the Mark 46. Specifically, I like that it adapts the look of the Bleeding Edge armour, and has that sleeker organic look of the more recent armours. The new IW suit takes it a little two far for my tastes, but the 46 is perfect.

Finally, I've got the Mark I War Machine for two reasons: 1. Don Cheadle is awesome in these movies, and 2. it looks exactly like 90s War Machine.

Afterimage owning these three, it's hard to imagine needing another Iron Man, buy anything could happen.

I know, everyone loved the 6 until the 7 came out. I wonder if history will repeat?

I think people always just love the latest released figure :)

I think the 6 is really cool just because of all unique features.

Reasons I like the 6

  • I liked the more aggressive look of the suit.
  • I like the new led's the lights under the chest armour look really cool always liked that in the 1/4 figures.
  • I like how the suit has a lot of weapons compared to the newer armours , one of the reasons I like War machine MK 1 and MK 3.
  • I like all the option parts and possibilities they create .

I think the Mk4/6 is my pinnacle of IM MCU design. Can't wait to own it, though the Mk6's contributions to IM2 and A1 easily push it over the Mk4.

That said, it actually looks like the Mk4 will come with all the "reindeer games" weaponry. Should be another stellar release.

Oh yeah your right..good catch. Guess I should have known that. I can’t keep these things straight anymore. Lol I’m looking forward to the mk4 and the gantry. I’ve never actually unboxed my last gantry and this one I will. I didn’t think they would do it again.

Edit-what mms number are we on now?

A whole page of good reasons to buy this suit.

Thanks again! My wallet hates you all.

My third favourite of the now classic MCU suits is 7 -- it's got some cool bulk and I like the missile pods. The 6 and 4 are very similar but the the 6 I love best for all of your reasons below, plus the more aggressive lines over the 4.

The thing about the 4 is more about some of the more human, comedic moments it had on film.

The 47 with its hot-rod look and bold colour blocking is my favourite contemporary suit.

Guys like you enable me, because I can look at my smaller collection and think "Well it's not *that* many." :lol

Nothing wrong with a decent normal person size collection man. Lol I look at them and think, damn wish I had the discipline to do that. Lol really though. I mean having a bunch is cool for like two seconds of bragging and a few pictures and then it’s just a crap ton of work.

I can see that. I tend to get uncomfortable if I have too much stuff. Doesn't matter what it is...books, clothes, gadgets, collectibles -- I like to keep life simple and unburdened. That said, I keep around some stuff I really love. Hence my small HT collection.

I can't compare the suit in hand to the 45, but I can the 43. and to my eyes it is a much better looking figure. Even posed museum it just has something. The paint alone looks better.

It's almost like each time the release another figure they keep raising the bar..

Add me to the list. Having owned both, I'd go Mk6 and it's not even close. The Mk45 isn't terrible, the Mk6 is that good.

As far as the Mk7, I do love it for what it was, a 3rd act war ready armor. The Mk6 wouldn't have been enough for the Battle of NY. I'm just not a huge fan of the bulky shoulders and thigh missile pods.

Still, I can easily see why it's a fan favorite.

You are aware that on the MK7 the bulky shoulder attachments and thigh missile pods are removable? As are the rib cage covers to add a little more gold. It's less bulky and closer looking to the MK4 & MK6 without them. Not mine, but I did remove the thigh missile pads on mine. The BD MK7 version didn't even come with them. Here's a pic without them on with comparison to MK7BD (not my pic).

I wish that’s how it looked standard. It makes sense on the battle damaged, but displaying a clean MK 7 without its standard equipment tickles my obsessive fandom all the wrong kind of ways :lol

Good possibility for sure.
What if Hot Toys blows it thinking we want something we have no interest in? What if MMS 500 is Alien Girl 2.0?
