Right actor, right character, wrong film, wrong age... to be iconic I mean.
Two outta four ain't bad I guess.
Still bums me out that this guy couldn't die at the hands of Vader.

With the newly quip-punny RO Vader, he would have killed Chirrut in two seconds and then said something about the lightsaber being mightier than the stick.
They could have had a game of force-sensitive hide-and-seek before the final duel though.
^^ That reads a little weird now that I look at it.
Man that pun is so silly. Is that Vader's final line in the flick?
The scenario is problematic, as it means Vader would need to show up on Scarif before it blows up, so there would have to be a scene where he's told by Tarkin to get off planet (but not Krennic?). But without thinking of all those possibilities it just would have been more gratifying to see some of their deaths elevated.
It also seemed that Jyn had the crystal used in lightsabers, so I thought maybe that could have been a story line, Chirrut having a broken saber as part of his staff, missing the crystal (stormtroopers took it maybe). Anyhow, I enjoyed the movie and the character, he came out really great. Congrats to those getting him. On the fence myself as I'm trying to keep the Rogue One collection limited.

I just couldn't justify getting him even though he was my favorite next to K2
I cancelled mine on BBTS as well....
And with that, and the many others to come, there goes any chance at Krennic or Tarkin.
Not that it will help Krennic or Tarkin but i will proabaly pick this up.

I'm still getting this guy as long as Baze is confirmed. I still think this is an epic Star wars movie. So I'm fine to get them. Sculpt, clothing and figure as a whole look great to boot !
This figure looks great. Personally I don't need a Baze to go with him so I'm not concerned about when he will get announced. I more lament how much stuff I have on PO that will soon be hitting SS in rapid succession: Old Han, Deathtrooper, Shoretrooper, and Chirrut.

Glad I wasn't the only one who thought that it was reasonable to presume Vader would duel the only other Force sensitive individual in the film.
That's what I'm wondering also. The figure looks great. Is it because there's no Baze?
My Chirrut Deluxe should be arriving on Saturday. I'm not sure why everyone's cancelling either.
In terms of Baze, I'm still on the fence on whether or not to get him. He honestly looks like a janitor/building custodian lol.
I loved the Rogue 1 movie and of all the characters, I think he had a more memorable role in terms of the Jedi being "extinct, their fire has gone out of the universe" mentality for that time period.
I have some HT and Bandai Stormtroopers that are about to get reposed and beat up when Chirrut arrives in a few days.

Why was everyone so down on that pun though? Don't we already have Vader making quips in the OT already? I didn't see at as being any different to "Apology accepted, Captain Needa" lol.
