SPOILERS for the film and my thoughts on this figure

This suit does absolutely nothing. They might as well have stuck with the red and black suit because that is all it was. Nothing new. Nothing fancy. The battling red and black suit is probably THE one to get for Tom's trilogy. Or stick with the FFH version.
I have the FFH version and i'm considering upgrading to this one purely because i love the giant spider legs. I think they would also help him stand out in a display alongside Tobey and Andrew

But I think I'm still more disappointed we aren't getting an updated head sculpt with his shorter hair.

After watching the film..I completely agree..kind of a let down for this suit variation compared to HC and FFH..regardless I will still get this version being a spider film junkie, but I won’t be in a rush

It’s pretty shameless the way they jump from one suit to another in this film. The only moments where I left the film temporarily like Dr Strange had shoved me out of my body and I started thinking about HT stupidity.

Not to mention the origin of how he acquired this version in the film

This was clean for seconds. A battle damaged version would be more accurate. Guess HT thinks of people like me who prefer clean versions.

Also, what are the chances that hot toys releases a figure of spidey in… that final scene in the apartment… cough cough. Or will they wait to do that for the next film, because it was barely featured here? Either way, tobey and Andrew figures must be on the way very soon

Fingers crossed I want that figure from HT :lecture

I'd give them about 2 weeks from now.

About this suit:

"I love the movie but this suit was a let down for sure, no wings or metal arms just the plain suit at least Hot Toys could put the original Iron Spider gauntlet to increse the differences from the upgraded suit."]

="I know he didn't use the spider legs, but isn't this the suit he was wearing in the final battle? It's not the battling version, that's when he fought Strange I think. I definitely remember seeing the gold. I never got the Iron Spider so that aspect of this suit what's tempting me."]

I just realized that if you add some 1:6 lightning effects to this diorama base you can easily add an electro element as well as the other villains. You can hang the electric effects from the broken pillar in the middle, will look pretty cool

They should have made Otto give the nanotech back in the final battle and for the three spiders to get an integrated looks

I really like this suit for several cinematic reasons:

Receiving the nanotech back really highlighted the differences between the Doc Ock and Dr. Octavius personalities.

It was very powerful to see how violently Doc Ock slammed Peter into the column and took the nanotech initially versus how gently he returned them.

I was very moved by that moment; giving up such advanced technology so willingly to its rightful owner without hesitation. It was proof that Peter’s intentions in wanting to help them had merit.

This suit is also a visual culmination of all his MCU appearances, and serves as an excellent final send off of his more tech oriented era with the tease of the classic suit at the end.

And it participated in both a lighthearted and humorous bonding scene as well as a big battle alongside Garfield and Maguire. They all got a lot of character development during those sequences, and it’ll be great to have the three of them as figures on display.

I think they’ll have a nice contrast together but complement each other well.

I'm just bummed this suit is gonna have holes in the back for the legs that weren't even in the movie.

Looks like they've got some peg filled holes for the suit. It's not really noticable.
The legs were in the movie btw, the earlier part. I'm not sure why he didn't use them in the final battle.

I only remember seeing them during the freeway battle on the Iron Spider suit. I don't remember if he used them in the apartment while wearing this suit, if that's what you mean. And if that's what you mean, damn, I need to watch this again!!!

Yeah, they did a better job with the plug design for this than the Iron Spider.

Color, material, and design help with that, and the plugs are a lot smaller.

Iron Spider was not designed to look okay from the back without the arms. At least it’s not as noticeable here, like you said.
