@Kit Chen any chance a 3rd party can make a hat for this figure?

I don't know if that's an idea you can toss around with somebody. But we're seeing more cases of 3rd parties supporting existing figures with complementary accessories, capes, sculpts, wigs (recent Bruce Wayne) etc..

We just need a good hat that's compatible with the DX and Artisan.

You can see the big differences on Dx15 and the new Artisan. Everything is better on the new one.

I do kind of like the dark expression of the DX15 in that shot. The triangular shape of the face and the larger eyes look more like younger Depp to me...

Managed to find a DX15 sword and sheath for $25.

The DX15 hat I ended up just biting the bullet and paying more than I wanted to for it.

I was curious if Artisan Jack would go out of stock like how the Joker did after it was released on TBA . It looks like it finally did even with the price increase. It’ll probably go back up, but looks like more people are picking it up with more reviews being shown.

Only if Depp would allow it if he is still the primary person to review certain merchandise. At the time of OST, Sideshow mentioned that Johnny Depp personally was the one who reviewed his collectible stuff (not some rep) and he wasn't allowing headsculpts that showed his teeth

AWE is too hard to come by loose.

DX06 is next best option for me. What I used to replace my DX15 hat back in the day.

Nope, not the same. DX06 hat was HT first attempt a fabric/faux leather hat. It wasn't great, but much better than the DX15 and the new Artisan attempts.

Mad Leather Studio on IG has made a real leather hat for Jack back in 2022, I'm just not sure how it looks on the figure.

I wonder if Depp had any input with this one or if it was Disney? Either way it was unexpected when announced especially with Disney distancing themselves.

Word is Disney wants to do Pirates 6 with Johnny back as Jack and a script is being developed but no word yet if it will happen as it's Disney who need to apologize to Johnny for dumping him when the Amber Herd allegations started. I rather they not make another since DMTNT for me was a sufficient ending to the pirates story since Jack got to sail into the sunset with his ship. Disney Will just destroy his legacy like they did Luke Skywalker and Indy.

I wouldn't mind another Pirates if it was what Depp had in mind when DMTNT released, which was one final send off for him, Will, and Elizabeth where the three of them star in the film with large roles for each rather than just cameos. Given the Davy Jones end credits scene, maybe bring Bill Nighy back. it definitely shouldn't be some Anne Bonnie movie with Jack as a background character like they were toying with before.
