Quick photo with my phone of how the UU hat looks on the DX37/38. The photos on my phone aren't very good but you can see how it looks on the figure. I love how this one looks and it doesn't look like a plastic hat at all.
Thank you for sharing! The UU hat looks really good on there! looking forward to trying it on mine.

We need a Barbossa Artisan now
Yes we do! I'm working on having 2 versions rooted which I'm hyped for!

Regarding Jack my picture doesn't do this justice but I'm honestly so glad after numerous times they've included these hands!

It's weird though I'm pretty sure DX15 had some weight this feels like a feather!

Looks very good, and especially the likeness in your particular photo/lighting.

dumb question, but what does UU stand for?
Ultimate Unison - This was a team up between Medicom and Enterbay. Enterbay did the headsculpt and I believe the hands as well as handled the production of those parts while Medicom did everything else. They did ROTJ Han, ANH Luke Skywalker and OST Jack Sparrow. I don't believe there were any others. Jack was their best effort in my opinion.

Thanks! In hand it looks infinitely better. Compared to how it looks in person, the photo is very poor. This time they have achieved some very real eyes and look, I am impressed...
What I didn't like (apart from the downgrade of buttons on the vest, sword and hat) is how they have made the long right lock of Rapunzel's hair coiled into a dreadlock... in the prototype it was much better done, shorter and frayed... and it is time they stop using the same thin body with that plastic neck and chest and make a custom and more proportioned body for Jack.

Mad to think it could look better in hand! Your photos are the best yet and it looks incredible.

First look I'm not having any problems, beyond the button/hand/hat thing, which aren't real noticeable. I'll need hours, days to futz with him. I'm fine with the hair; in hand dreads don't look to thick etc. to me. Pretty much what I'd expect as Jack seemed to gain more and more hair😁. Astonishing level of detail with the sewn on buttons, lined coat/vest, ringed hands, the whole lot. He's lighter than Obi-Wan but joints are strong.

Yeah, I caved and went to TBA - no regrets, more like relief :lol . Had the DX on order but it was the reviews of all the hair beads etc. that finally got me. It just wasn't FAIR:monkey3 that someone with all the HT Jacks, and a long term series fan wouldn't have an Artisan.:monkey2 (Kudos to TBA for their total professionalism, packing, shipping. I'd buy from them again(y))

Pretty sure this is the finest fig in my collection:love, tho I'd have to think about that. Maybe if an Artisan Winter Soldier is released it would equal, since that character has a lot of details too (assassin Bucky). Only bad thing is, arriving on a Monday and no time to work with him until the weekend. Get the forceps out etc. But I'm in awe.:clap🏴‍☠️:love

I might have to hunt down that treasure chest to add to my chest collection as well.
So let's see here...need to look for parted out:
-Smiling sculpt
-Open palmed hands
-Diorama base
-Treasure chest...

I'm going to end up buying this whole figure aren't I? 😆 I already have 3 Jacks I REALLY do not need another. 😆

Glad to hear no issue so far and that the hair looks better in hand @Sassafras! Good thing you were able to secure one from TBA before they went out of stock.

Thanks! To me the dreads are what I'd expect in that scale - being dreads. HT mixed them up too, it's d@mn impressive work. Can't think of the hours that go in to make just one of these. Besides the hand wraps, lined/wired coats, beads, belts, buckles.

TBA is out of stock? :( Well, HT can get to work doing a POTC 1 version.😁

The best thing about this figure was undoubtedly Enterbay's contribution, it's a shame that the level of painting was far from the prototype... especially in the hair and dreadlocks. It was also a good implementation of the cloth bandana already in a 2011 figure.

IMO no such thing as too many Jacks, he's got too many looks/poses/attitude. Am just sorry I didn't pick up more 1/6 scale barrels when they were cheaper. :monkey2

I wish there was a COTBP version... it would be an absolute grail. Or that Inart would at some point get hold of the license and get into the game.

Yours looks awesome, but agreed.. I wish INART had the Disney license to do Jack. You just know they’d do this character justice top to bottom.
