Do you NOT buy the Artisan, Rzeznikk? I'm surprised...

No, I don't want or need another DMTNT Jack. Artisan was waisted on the weakest movie in the series. Since I already have my CotBP custom I didn't bother with it. Just looking for parts from the set though. Mainly the smiling sculpt as I think that's probably the best Jack/Depp sculpt they've done to date.

The best thing about this figure was undoubtedly Enterbay's contribution, it's a shame that the level of painting was far from the prototype... especially in the hair and dreadlocks. It was also a good implementation of the cloth bandana already in a 2011 figure.

Yup, I took the cloth bandana from the Enterbay UU to complete my CotBP custom build. Worked well.

Yours looks awesome, but agreed.. I wish INART had the Disney license to do Jack. You just know they’d do this character justice top to bottom.

Thanks mate. If they did it at the level of their latest releases in hand that could be incredible.

If inart had the license they'd do 1st movie and you could bet we'd get Barbossa also. Sadly that will never happen as hot toys have the license.

Yeah it wasn't a bad figure, but gimmicky with the sound chip. I'm glad HT abandoned that as quickly as they started.

Regarding Jack my picture doesn't do this justice but I'm honestly so glad after numerous times they've included these hands!

It's weird though I'm pretty sure DX15 had some weight this feels like a feather!

Is there a plastic piece under the fabric bandanna or is it his hair? Wonder if you can replace the bandana with a thinner one that can wrinkle and bunch up at the sides.

Awesome pose those hands are indeed very good they capture alot of Jack. Seriously need that jar of dirt lol. This is my final pose for now, i think they really captured Jack this time with the smirk head. It wasnt that good on the dx15

I'd feel like a big ol' dummy if that turned out to be true... but I'd still probably buy it anyway lol. Hope they make a Barbossa to go along side him

I would. Partly because I own all the HT Jacks and also his costume/hair get more elaborate as he goes along.. And I like the POTC series. Music, sets, characters, lore. Tho it's weird HT hasn't put out a COTBP version. Maybe they're sitting on the idea for some anniversary release.

There's a bit of sculpted plastic underneath to hold magnet and rooted hair.

It does! I actually found that feature quite fun that I kept the body for my COTBP custom for awhile, especially considering a majority of the phrases were from the first movie anyway.

I was discussing this with other collectors and pointed out the same. Marketing 101.

Though I'd bet OST or maybe Dead Man's Chest Cannibal King 2.0 will be next. Make use of that throne they made all those years ago.

Oh agreed. They’ll work backwards through the films if anything.

Artisan Jack and then Cursed Skeleton Jack. I'd buy in a heart beat.

Again. I was pointing that out as well. But some just don't want to believe it.

I think the one of the reasons they've done DMTNT Jack again is because Depp is not directly involved this time around, his likeness was likely part of whatever contract he signed with Disney for DMTNT, he even spoke about it in the Depp v Heard trial. Disney is selling merchandise and figures with his likeness and he doesn't get a cent from it. That's why so many companies have kept doing Jack from DMTNT instead of the original trilogy or even OST.

It's Disney and those films would have locked Depps likeness in with the contract when he signed on. There was a plethora of Pirates Merch (action figures etc) with Depps likeness when the movies were releasing.

As you mentioned Delp doesn't see a cent so that means his likeness was baked into the contract. If anything he would have had more pull and say in the later films if there was a new contract for those.

All HT would need to do is repurchase the license from the other films if they haven't already. They might all be tied together under just "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise.

JND is doing a 1:3 Jack based off CotBP from my knowledge so the license is obtainable.
