As far as Kylo's character...I thought the whole point was that he was conflicted between good and evil and he needed to kill Han so he could fully embrace the dark side. So I expect he will become much more powerful and evil in the next movie.

In the novelisation he actually grows more conflicted and weaker after killing Han.

I could be wrong - but I think it was announced Friday morning in HK. Thursday night in US I believe? The week after Force Friday, so maybe they'll show something every Friday ? who knows
It was announced Wednesday Night and up for Pre-Order yesterday so that isn't quite right. I guess we wait for next Thursday to see if the weekly part is true

Perhaps that's exactly what they want you to think.

Oops - I'm retarded. My office closed today so I got my days mixed up T_T

Man Adam Driver is an "interesting" looking dude.

Kylo is the embodiment of Harry Enfield's teen character, Kevin. Throwing tantrums at the drop of a helmet, and screaming, "Adults are soooo unfair!"

He turns good in the new movie.

Which would be a neat trick after killing one of the most loved characters in the universe.

TFA was all right, and Kylo as a character was all right.

But there was something very unsettling in the fact that he was the son of Han and Leia. Probably because the news drops without build-up. Suddenly, out of nowhere, not only did Han and Leia have offspring, but he grew up to be a problem child. The biggest, worst problem child you could imagine.

Whereas it took three films to confirm that Luke and Leia were the children of Vader. It's the antithesis to the Rey part of the story which is retaining the mystery of her parentage.

I was a bit miffed that the first kylo fig didn't come with a driver sculpt. Now with the opportunity to get one I'm not sure I want him on the shelf. Based on looks alone it just seems impossible that he is the son of Han and Leia. Just one poor casting/design example of many that has plagued the new SW movies imo.

Considering Disney doesn't seem to have much of a detailed plan on what will happen in the movies I find this potentially all a bit....... Well random what could happen next.

Maybe they will go the growing teenager route. But if they think he can be redeemed with a "oh Kylo it was just your teenage hormones at play. It's all ok you're a good boy after all" then that's clearly not going to go down well.

He is an interesting character for sure but the story NEEDS someone at some point to be menacing. Kylo went from being a scary badass that you DID NOT want Rey to get caught by, to a whiney teenager that Rey took down with a few hours of force exposure.

If Kylo isn't supposed to be a new Darth Vader, then the new trilogy better find some teeth somewhere because right now, there isn't anything scary or worrisome about the New Order or any of it's agents.

Keep mind Kylo:

a) just killed his dad
b) got shot by Chewbaccas gun that we previously see sends Stormtroopers flying
c) just finished fighting Finn, who at first he played with but once he got a hit in, took him out in seconds
d) fended off Rey but the entire planet was melting around him

At 100% strength and wits he'd be scary good. The ****er catches blaster bolts midair and force chokes/pulls with ease. I hope people really see how ****ing crazy he can be - especially with Adam Driver behind it - the guy is a machine!!!

:lol Ummmm.... Kylo is like 29 years old in TFA. He's a little past his teenage angst..

well he acted very "teenage" like in TFA. He was badass in the first part of the film but they made him a weak baby at the end. As of right now there is no menacing villian in the new SW which is not good. Maul, Sidius, Dooku (to some extent), Tarkin, and especially Vader all fit these roles.

I thought he was extremely tough at the end. Fighting two people after taking a shot to the gut that instantly kills and sends others flying through the air.

Not unlike the OT...Lucas had not planned to make Luke Vader's son...when Obi Wan was talking about Anakin and Vader like they were two different people in the first film it was because...they were...The Empire Strikes Back reveal was something that eventually popped up in one of the many screenplay drafts...nothing new with Star Wars essentially being made up as it goes along...to great success as far as I am concerned.

Hi-Res doesn't help that thick "picnic rug" cape look any better......how is that thing even held on ?

Nope......still an easy pass for me.

I'm sure there will be some sort of redemption for Kylo in the 9th film so given how different this looks from TFA and how different I'm sure he'll look in the 9th film - it'll make a nice little evolution display on the shelves.

I'm hoping for a redemption arc, just so long as it isn't some lame ****. Love a good redemption arc.

I thought the total opposite. He almost got killed from 2 ppl who had no clue what a light saber was. Any other Jedi or sith would of destroyed them in seconds. He has some strong force powers, his saber skills are super weak. And he was a big cry baby the entire movie. He will turn good and save the universe with his twin sister Rey. Luke and snoke will be the other big revel.

I thought he was playing with Finn because he took him out easily as soon as finn cut him. He was trying to get rey to come to his side so he was not trying to kill or really hurt her. Kind of like vader and luke in ESB.
