Why doesn't someone just make that classic suit?

Gunn maybe?
I hope so. If you've seen the Blue Beetle trailer at the end he's in Ted Cords hideout or lab and you can see classic BB outfits. It would be great to finally get this live action it wouldn't look ridiculous if done right same with Superman in his classic outfit.

Looks good to me. Can his head finally turn???

Might cancel my Tactical Batman for this....
The head can turn. He actually comes with two heads. One articulated and one seamless
Prototype at Secret Base, seem to come with two cowls, one normal and one articulable.
Good catch! It also says so in the specs:

  • One (1) newly developed Batman cowled head with separate rolling eyeballs and three (3) interchangeable lower part of faces capturing different facial expressions
  • One (1) newly developed Batman cowled head with separate rolling eyeballs and seamless neck joint (interchangeable lower part of faces applicable)

Because they've been doing whatever they hell they want with no consequences for over 15+ years now. :lol

It's sad how the only time they had to recall and adjust a sculpt was for a ******* Iron Man figure.
HT recalled the TS John Connor sculpt for the hideous paint apps why back when too.

And I have to wonder if it's less Affleck holding back and more WBD doing the withholding. The likeness just isn't there and/or as others have pointed out, Affleck is not mentioned in the description.

I'm one of those who really digs the Batfleck figures from the Snyderverse movies. My favs are that first BvS one (what a brawler! So cool!) and the Knightmare version (both of them).

Not feeling this weird design. Looks more strange cosplay than a design for a movie (not meant as a diss on those cosplayers- seen some pretty awesome folks rocking their creations over the years). It's bulky and instead of a tight-fitting suit, we're getting this flabby, overwrought one with strange, tacky loops and weaves tacked on it. Inexplicable.

Someone on Reddit posed an interview with Richard, a Batfleck stunt double who claims he signed likeness rights on figures because Affleck wouldn't allow his. I don't know if he was in there for the Flash but, it does bring credence to the thought this happened here.

Welp there it is. This is quite literally a licensed Stuntman Batman figure.

It's his Batman obviously only HT didn't bother trying to get likeness rights so they went with a generic chin. It's clear who it's supposed to be but it's not 100% him to avoid any issues. I'm sure they'll find a way to fix it but even if they do the majority on here won't be buying this figure. My biggest issue is why is there a seam line in front of his pants at the groin, it looks like he put his pants on backwards.

It's only clear because we know who it's supposed to be. Using that face alone I don't anyone would think it's Affleck.

I've heard this happened with Sideshow and their Armoured Batman 1/4 statue. There was some issue with getting it signed off as Affleck so his stunt double Richard Certone did. I have it. It hides more his face than the standard cowl and he looks like he's grimacing so it still works. Especially compared to this.

Yeah I guess you are right, this bike is still pretty big. But I don’t understand why Hot Toys felt the need to make it clearly smaller than it should be. I still love the design and will buy it, but part of what makes this bike so cool to me is what a huge beast it is in the film. I think I like the almost comic book like size of the bike in the trailers. It makes you think what type of lunatic would get on that thing ….oh yeah Batman.

Do you guys think Hot Toys intentionally made this bike undersized for display purposes or some other reason? Or do you think they sort of just screwed up with their math on this?
Pretty sure they have made the 89 Batnmobile smaller than it should be too. Whether by design or by mistake.

The suit sucks, he's also way too bulky, but when I look at this image and it's not Affleck is what I think totally kills it. It's not like we are getting the last appearance of Batfleck with a motorbike, it's not even him.

I wonder if the bike will get a separate release. A year after release they will be binning all the figures and reboxing the bikes. It's not like the articulated cowl can be used on anything else either.

Crazy that he wouldn't sign off on his likeness for figures/collectibles on this film when he's said multiple times how much he enjoyed playing Batman in this one and the more recent talks about finally "cracking the code" on how to play Batman while doing this movie.

He was up for being Batman/Bruce Wayne enough to be in the Flash and film a cameo for Aquaman last summer. A lot has changed in WB and DC since then.

Exactly. It's more about politics with WB than anything else at this point. He even said a couple of months ago that he wouldn't work with Gunn on anything, despite Gunn saying they were working together. Made Gunn look pretty bad exposing his lies

Sucks for us fans of course. I'm still on the fence on this one.

Reddit interview fact or fiction ? But it's clearly the stunt double. I wish I knew someone at Secret Base who could check if an old Affleck faceplate fits....but it probably won't.

Interesting description in the Sideshow listing for this figure too.

"Worlds are colliding in The Flash when Barry Allen uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to alter the events of the past. On this top-speed journey, he meets an alternate-universe version of Batman in the next evolution of Batsuit too! How exciting!"

Yeah, real exciting !!

I think this info relates to the Keaton version. It's a synopsis of the movie.

I completely understand that. I keep up with (or at least try) most of the DC news so I'm not saying it out of ignorance. BUT it doesn't change the fact that it's not like he's talking negatively about the movie now nor his time while filming. He still speaks positively about it and more recently has been saying how he finally cracked the code on playing Batman/Bruce Wayne. So, if he had great time on the film, what does it even matter what direction the DCU is going in now or his relationship with Gunn is? Unless he's actually lying of course.

The fact that Affleck also didn't allow his likeness on the previous BvS armored HT figure based on that reddit link (though apparently he did for the EX BD version as that's clearly Affleck and not the stuntman) shows that it really doesn't have anything to do with his relationship to the studio. You even said it yourself that even the Sideshow Armored PF isn't Affleck. Yet the Prime1 1/2 scale Armored Batman is pretty clearly Affleck as well as the 1/6 DCC Armored Batman statue. Sounds more like he picks and chooses what he wants his face on rather than some grudge against the studio to me.

He obviously has his reasons regardless. At the end of the day, we can speculate all we want that it's b/c of WB, Gunn, or himself, but none of us really know until someone leaks the exact reasons why. All we do know or at least can infer based on the information we currently have is that he didn't allow it on this figure.
