1/6 Indy Customizations: Image Thread

Thought it would be a nice alternative to purchasing the HT one .
Now I just need to pick up a True Type body in a few weeks .

I have all of the SS Indy figures and couldn't justify spending $250
on a 1:6 from another company that has a bunch stuff and features that I won't use or care about.

Now I'll have an SS Indy which I feal has the better headscuplt than the HT version with a piant job that really inhances the Trevor sculpt that I'm proud to have in my collection for alot less money.

No offense, but to me, that looks like Tom Berenger more so than Ford.

Man, i have that sculpt, you're right in the picture it doesnt look like Indy Ford, but in person, he looks like H. F. in the Blade RUnner years! Its wonderful~!

I still dig my all Sideshow Indy. Only thing I changed was the body and painted the head/hat/jacket.

I may replace his shirt with the HT one though, that one is a bagillion times better than Sideshow's toilet paper shirt.

Its not all decked out in all the expensive, more accurate custom accessories, but I still love it.

Maybe some day, someone will make a definitive Indy, where you wont need to buy custom parts or mix and match from various sources but until them its still Sideshow for me.

I just got my shipment of the HT Map Room disguise and it's all great. EXCEPT for the damn turban! I think some have mentioned that it's really tight on the HT Indy head. Well, I got it for my SS hatless Indy and it does not fit at all. So anyone who had the same bright idea that I did, save your money on the turban. I may have to go buy some fabric and make another turban myself. I'm not sure there's an easy way to unstitch the HT one and get it to fit better.

So that noggin is huge? HT's Indy has grown on me and decided to order one. Was planning on using the turbin on one of the extra SS Indys I have. Would shaving off some the head make it fit?

I'm going to see if maybe the turban can be unstitched. There are so many folds and stitches in the turban, it's hard to know if undoing any of it will really make a difference.

But right now the turban is WAY too small. Jack, you'd have to whittle down his head to conehead type proportions to get the thing to fit. The best bet is to try and undo the turban and see if it can be unraveled enough to get it on the SS Indy head.

I know it sounds cheesy, but they really should have made it with an elastic or something.

Turban Update: I found a seam along the inside of the turban, and managed to undo it a bit. It's all tied together with other layers of the cloth, but undoing that bit seemed to be enough to get the thing on the SS Indy head. It was a bit of a tight fit, even with the ripped seam, but at least now it goes on his head. I'll see if I can get a quick shot.

also, how did you get the cloth over his shoulder to stay??
