Has anyone got any decent images of the Landspeeder's steering wheel?
Thanks for the help Jas

Is Sunday any good mate? I'll be in the cave most of the weekend so will drop you a txt.
Damn that thing is beat up !
What's the plan with the weathering Brondledonk ?
The large "splotchy" chipping doesn't look so realistic, but I guess to be movie accurate you'll need to do it like that ?

Yeah it looks really heavy and overdone in some of the pics taken during production and especially the screen used prop but onscreen it doesn't stand out as much, I guess partly due to the way the film was processed and the fact that it's not really on screen in a way that lets you take in the details easily.
if I do it to look like that then it may look accurate to the prop but I don't think it would represent the screen look and the way we remember it in our minds eye.
I think I'll keep the pattern of wear the same but tone it down a notch or 2 and it will still look authentic to the movie but also a bit more realistic too.
as soon as I've got the castings do from Jay I'll paint one up as a test and post the pics so you all can give me some feedback regarding the look that way I can tweak it if needed and then the rest can be done the same way rather than doing them all in one go and then having to correct the whole run
I'm really excited to do this project and I want it to be the best it can be

Sounds like an excellent plan to me !
I think keeping the pattern of the wear the same but toning it down a bit to be a bit more realistic yet movie accurate sounds perfect.
