This is a nice well lit review. The first time I've seen the skin texture on the head sculpt from a in hand review. I have to disagree with his opinion on which sculpt looks more like Kurt though.
But one thing that irks me a bit is:
Clip and Magazine.jpg

Clips are what's used to feed cartridges into magazines.

So is this in-stock at sideshow, has everyone who ordered got shipping notices or is it a case of they shipped a small batch out? .

All ten people who still kept their orders got theirs.
The rest are clogging the doors to the SS warehouse and we will be getting the EX for free with every purchase come spooktacular, both in 2015, and 2016.
:rotfl

I did this really quick on the computer and without looking at a pic of Kurt Russell...but for those that don't or can't do a full on re-paint, it looks like this guy might benefit a bit with some guy-liner and a slight darkening/detailing of the eyebrow.

:lol Guess your right, but for the price I paid I can't complain, this Snake order I just made is cheaper than my order of the Kaustic plastic headless muscle body I just ordered from BBTS:yess:

I think the figure is pretty nice, head sculpt is a fail for sure and I'm not even going to try and justify it, its not Kurt Russell bottom line, but it is the best Snake one can buy at this time. Parts alone are good, I like the look of the new body and some of the gear looks to be nice stuff. I'm pretty confident I can futz this guy into looking badass on my shelf:)

Thanks for posting that, Juan. It's a good review. Since he didn't mention anything about the boots, I'll guess I can just assume I got a bad pair.

Also, I think that if the painting technique that was used on the stubble area of his custom was applied to Sideshow's Snake, it would make a world of difference.

I think his boots are not 100% too.

Pay attention to the part when he moves the base around, he have the figure leaning backwards to the feet stand flat. Starts at 07:42m in the video. But nothing like your right boot.

Excellent, balanced review without the hyperbole that has frequently surrounded this release. Nicely highlights the merits of both figures, while being critical where needed. Thanks for posting this [emoji6]

id combine at the parts of the 2 and make one great one. i dont like either of the head sculpts, the custom has a hook nose. id choose the sideshow one only because its cleaner, the paint on the custom is really bad. someone should recast the sideshow head then tweak the recast to make it look exactly like russell, id buy it in an instant.

His custom has one of my decals. :)

I like the custom shirt better. But like everything else on the SS figure.

Spencer makes some good stuff and has filled collection gaps, but I got poor casts of some stuff and never bothered with Snake at the prices he was charging.

It's nice that the reviewer threw you an acknowledgement. :)

And do you recall what the Spencer was going for?

Was just in fye, saw the neca plissken figure. Omg what a horrible piece of dog ****. Definitely not getting my money, not sure how they get away with those paint apps. Looks like it was painted by a toddler.

the white scar on his cheek looks kinda cheap...

looks fungal to me.lolz

maybe you folks could start a modding tips thread to bring out the best of this figure.

Contemplated cancelling my order but sticking with it. It's not perfect but it's certainly not a complete fail. Look forward to seeing it in hand

The Neca Snake Plissken figures are selling out at most places online. I think the paint job is lacking even for the Neca brand. But the sculpt looks good, so a simple repaint could make that look like a pretty descent figure.
