Not sure why it's coming now, but the difference between this and the NWH offering is that they already have the license and likeness rights for the ASM movie(s), so there was no need to go back to him to reattain the likeness rights to do one. We have to remember, the NWH version was released under the ASM2 license and not actually NWH; which is also why you had to buy the Lizard diorama base separately (NWH license) rather than it being part of a higher priced deluxe offering like NWH Tobey Spidey had with the Sandman dio.

True, but this is also an all-new headsculpt. I thought it was two fold with the NWH release: they had to use an existing license and they had to reuse an already-approved head, which is why they shipped a repaint of that ancient head. Feels like they really got the rights this time?

Off topic, I've got the JND Superman duo pre-ordered too. Did you see the updated photo with the tweaks that were done again? Now I'm hyped for it. Also have the Inart Cavill Superman reserved, and that looks awesome too in the review vids. I know it's Batman 85th anniversary, but good amount of Superman collectibles too.

Be prepared to wait several long months for the Inart Cavil Superman (unless you're in the influencer batch).

Agreed the new final JND Superman sculpt seems improved but I wish Superman did not have such a neutral expression.

I think JND chose that neutral expression to balance out the duality of the Clark, which has a more expressive sculpt and that Christopher Reeve personality. Luckily, we got the duo Clark & Superman, so we got the best of both worlds.

If you can find it, poptoys did that outfit years ago which is likely to be the only way of getting it now. This is mine and i still need to get a skinnier body for it...

Hot toys did at one point showcase their version alongside the Rhino which i still wish they had produced

It's so weird how small their older figures were. I wonder why that was.

Sad part is the improved articulation doesn’t really mean much if the suit is gonna get damaged from posing. No one is leaving these Spider-Man figures in those poses unless if the suit is fully fabric.

Maybe a 3rd Party company will release one now that this is getting released? I passed on the Inigo custom Gwen figure b/c I didn’t think I’d be getting an Andrew Spiderman but now I’m regretting it. Though, that custom was for ASM2

Yea I have my custom one from years ago. I just would love an official Hot Toys quality one for the figure.

I don’t know why they can’t use stretchy fabrics. Their material choices are weird. Same with Tobey and Andrew from NWH the suit materials didn’t match the movie suit whatsoever.

It’s like they made Miles from ITSV then called it good.
