^^that is badass! Is that Fan art or concept art??

I think fan art.

His hands look to be actual lightsabers. The art really presents Grievous in the way most people wanted him to be.
Totally agree. When I initially saw the promotional pics of Grievous and read some of his background info, this is more or less what I was expecting. Shame, because Grievous' design is fantastic but I'll never buy it in 1:6 due to his woeful portrayal in the movie. Great pic, though, Wor-Gar. Thanks for posting it.

At least the the CW cartoon has given Grievous some properly bada$$ moments in the last few seasons, like when he slaughtered the Nightsisters of Dathomir. Almost as good as Tartakovsky's Grievous (but not quite!)

:exactly: Genndy had Grevious as the ultimate badass.

I just have two questions, this isn't out yet? and is it a figure or a statue?.. I would kill for a 1/6 Grievous figure

1/6th figure and no, not out yet. At this timeframe its starting to look like a pipedream. :monkey2

Ok Sideshow, let Tamashii make this then. They knocked C3PO out of the park and even though it would be expensive, I would by this from them.

I wouldn't mind the wait if we get a satisfactory product.

Really? It's been year and a half since he was displayed at SDCC 2011. I think the wait has been ridiculously long, and the product will never be wholly satisfactory. They never are. They can't be. We're all too picky.

Just release the damn thing. I'LL fix whatever is wrong with it.

last we heard was 4 lightsbers, and 6 arms in total.

on set of two, that are the "together " set. and then one set of 4 arms, that are teh split set.

i do believe the delay was to see if they could engineer them to a single set of arms that could split into the 4 smaller arms, and not need swapping.

Surfer, care to weigh in? you painted the proto AFAIK

Hasbro's 12 inch version was able to split each arm into 2...pretty close anyways. I don't see why SS can't do the same. SS did a nice job on the battle droids arms... only thing was that you had to be careful with the arms.

I agree the only thing stopping me from going full scale with my droid army is this figure. I believe I have waited ling enough and as long as enough is right with him I will be super happy.

I reckon the talk going around that this will be Bandai's next figure has got some merit.

Absolutely. SS are clearly having major issues with Grievous and are probably at the stage now where they can't make it work.

A board member here recently spoke to a Bandaii rep at a toy fair. The rep told him that we would be seeing R2 in 2014 and that they are working on a third figure for 2015, the identity if which they couldn't currently reveal. There is a high likelihood that this will be Grievous.

As we currently stand, I doubt we'll be seeing any further Grievous preview until at lest SDCC 2014. Bit of a bummer, but it gives us plenty of time to save the $500 it will probably cost for a Bandaii Grievous.

2015 ****** that I dont know if I can wait that long for a hint of a PO that may be the figure I want or a star destroyer droid that I have no interest in for 300$+

Just imagine that the 4-arms version is the Exclusive and the 2-arms version is the Regular. And they made 200 pieces of the Exclusive! :horror :horror :horror

I am just scaring myself! :lol I don't think Sideshow will be that cruel to us, poor collectors...

Hmmm, I know I've said I wouldn't pick Grievous up because of lame he was in ROTS, but it is a great design and a metal version might be too cool to pass up. Also love the design of the IG bodyguard droids. Would be down for one of those with or without Grievous.
