Grievous was so under utilized in the movies, but he was awesome in the clone wars series. If this figure turns out good I'm def buying it.

from the moment grievous told obi wan "silly Jedi" and busted out 4 light sabers my heart fell in love with this guy. Yah the battle was too short. Yah the character was so under utilized but for the fact he made my jaw drop in the movie theatre he is a MUST BUY for me!

Well being a Star Wars collector every figure released is a possible buy but this is one figure I would probably get even if I was'nt a fan just because it's awesome. Although I have'nt seen the clone wars I still bought Darth Malgus just on the looks alome so Greivous is a no-brainer :)

Underutilized yes, but he had a lot more to do than Boba Fett did in his first outing. Even adding in the 2nd.

In the movie, I think it was the stupid cough that spoiled the character for most. If "Lucas" could Special Edition that cough out, I think he'd play much better.

I won't be getting this but when it comes down to it it's probably going to be a truly great figure if it lives up to the promise of the previews. Like Grevious the battle droids are pretty useless and only generate anger and frustration in the movies. But the SSC droids are great fun and well designed, I am glad I got them. Originally I was going to break them apart for a cool clone dio, but being so cool themselves they will be kept intact.

It's funny someone mentions Boba Fett, I just never got the hype about him. Another pretty useless character in the movies, perhaps he seemed somewhat cool (befor the re-dub) in ESB but that changed quickly when he got badly spanked like the little punk he truly is in ROTJ.. :lol
Then I remember they had a workable origin in the old Marvel comic, but then they had to utterly destroy everything with Jango and clones in the PT.

I wonder if the head can articulate upwards to achieve the "cough" hands behind the back, bent over walking into the bridge at the beginning of EP3.
I think this figure will look fantastic but I feel I might be on the outside looking in.

The battle droids ain't that great. Just the other day I was reposing mine,( and yes I'm careful with my figures and yes I was using two hands) and the elbow joint broke on one. And when I say broke I mean disintegrated. The parts that fit together reall just crumbled away, didn't even crack off. Nothing to even glue back on. Very disappointing. Yes I do have grievous ordered. Yes I am keeping it ordered but I am worried about if it wil be a waste of money. Especially with that lame review saying how easy it was to break a finger off.

I have heard a few people say things along these lines or how fragile they are. But between my 8 battle droids and my OOM9 I have only broken one antenna and that was because one of my cats knocked 3 battle droids off a open shelf falling 5 feet. I am surprised they are of good quality as they are and I repose them at least every other month. Who knows maybe there were just a few duds but some of mine do have super tight joints and the same may happen to them. Could all come down conditions they are displayed in or stored in to but who knows.

Back to Grievous I cant wait for him to finally arrive. I had to pass on vader due to amount of money available and since I have been leaning towards the PT the past year or so. I hope he isn't as fragile as some claim but even if he is it will mean just handling him with more care and paying attention to how others may break there's to find fixes to issues that arise. But no matter what I am just happy to get a grievous that actually has moving parts at all since he was a huge undertaking for them in the first place since practically nothing on him is re used.

I probably would have thought the cough odd as well, had I not seen "The Clone Wars" micro series Pt II. before I went to see ROTS. When Grievous kidnaps Palpatine, Mace Windu uses the force to crush his chest..just before he gets away.

:exactly: I never thought twice about the cough as ""The Clone Wars" micro series Pt II" was a up to the second prequel to EP3.

Coming soon ;)
