Well, I can honestly say that up until today, I've never injured myself with any of my SSC figures. :lol I got my exclusive IG-88 this afternoon, and upon removing him from the box, I turned him over to see how I should go about slipping his bandolier on. When I wrapped my hand around his torso, my thumb went onto his chest spike, which promptly sank all the way into the skin under my nail. It bled. And it hurts.

Yeah that reminds me of when I got Bib Fortuna. I didn't realize how sharp his dagger was and I stabbed my finger while pulling it out of the box. I sent Sideshow a customer service email about it asking them to warn about the sharpness of the dagger and they ended up giving me my Asajj Ventress 12 inch order for free for my troubles.

So are you also the old lady that poured a cup of hot coffee in the lap and was able to sue because she should have been warned that the coffee was hot :huh :lol

I didn't ask for anything. I simply sent them an email stating that they may want to warn people buying Bib Fortuna that his dagger is really sharp. They felt bad and sent me an order for free as an apology.

I wasn't after anything. I just wanted to get the word out so people wouldn't shank themselves with Bib's dagger. Sideshow is really top notch with their service.

Off topic: GB, check out the documentary "Hot Coffee"

On topic: this figure is the best 1/6th SSCs figure they've made for the SWs line. The quality is right where they need to be and the engineering rivals HTs to say the least!!! Wow! What a great execution...swivel waist, ratcheted joints, accordion rubber on the elbows, telescoping knees, light up base & head...man, it doesn't get better than this!!! They've covered all bases on this figure. C3PO & R2 are going to be epic!

I actually typed a similar email up to SSC about the sharp tack in the chest and how they might want to put a warning of some sorts on figures that have sharp objects, but then I trashed it. I figured it wasn't that big of a deal, and it really was my own carelessness! :lol

True story. They even added the warning to the figure description after that. :clap

I got mine in last night, very cool figure, though I don't feel its worth $175 by a long shot.

Although the waist area "hydraulics" are cool - they are 100% useless in posing just like the battle droids, so not sure what SST was going for there. When I saw the video on IG's range of motion I was led to believe he would actually be able to be posed with bends at the hips / torso.

I don't think the base fits the figure, I assume it will come with all the hunters. It felt more applicable to Fett since he was in the carbon freezing pit when Solo went in, which is where I assume that flooring being mimicked on the stand hails from.

Overall, I wouldn't have skipped him, but the price is about 40% too high for what you get...

The price is more than likely a reflection of what it cost to produce.

:lecture I think we should expect to pay a bit more for figures like this. I'll expect the same with R2 and 3po. Sure, we won't get a hell of a lot of value in terms of extra accessories and the price will be at a premium but really, what kind of extras could they give? And we know that we'll be paying extra for figures that need to be buildt from the ground up... To me this figure looks like a great value. Deluxe light up base, light up features on the figure itself, etc.

And you can scream Rambo-style "He drew first blood! Not me!"

:lol:lol:lol
