Some better pics that more accurately reflect my cave of a house. The base lighting looks a lot darker because the glowing floor is deeply recessed and will look pretty dark unless you're looking down at an angle. Also, if you want to peep details, the original 3456 x 5184 photos are available on my Flickr page.

Love the full size pics on Flickr! You can really make out the details.

I can't believe all the people completely bashing this and calling it a failure.

To each their own; this figure has some issues - its not a perfect representation by any stretch of the imagination

No, I didn't say it was without issues but neither is the Medicom that people are praising and making it sound so far superior to the SS one. The Sideshow one is far from a "fail" though.

I have a longer list of issues and inaccuracies with the Medicom one than the SS one.

I love how the Sideshow apologists now define "futzing" to include various irreversible physical modifications that would have once been considered full-blown customisation.

Just for early comparison's sake.

His arms look weird. And his upper body looks really stocky, while his legs seem very long and really thin.

Where's the baginess of his pants? The baginess was very visible on the prototype and production studio shots.

Yeah a lot of things were visible in the proto shots. Sad!!:(

Thanks for the pic and summary CRIPPLE!! I have to agree with Rubio on this one, it's the best little straight-forward summary so far. Pretty much sums up this forum right there and we all know exactly what to expect now:

Boba has some clear issues right out of the box, but with a little time spent futzing and fixing those issues this figure has the potential to impress and look amazing.

Once again, thanks for the pics (Everyone!) and keep em coming! Haha

Yeah - just to be clear, Cripple actually said it's fantastic "from the distance I'm usually at."

And Cripple, thanks for those ULTRA hi-res pics - great to see the teeny details on this fig. Best pics so far and the fig it looks amazing!

And comparisons to the Medi Boba are just not really relevant here. Even the ROTJ Medi Boba is simply not 1/6 scale. He has been described as a "teen Boba" because height aside, the scale of everything is slightly undersize and thin. He looks fine in a crowd and looks roughly in scale in certain pics, but this SSC Boba is the first high-end 1/6 Boba figure since the Marmit release. And the ten year old Marmit has a lot of strengths, but I don't think anyone would argue which is the better figure vs. SSC.

I love how people love pissing on other peoples parade. It's quite fascinating when someone enjoys something and yet another person goes through great lengths to try and ruin that person's enjoyment. What do they get out of it? Shouldn't they be worrying about their own lives? If one of us posted that we were losing a loved one to cancer would these same people laugh and rub our noses in it? If someone likes something why do you feel the need to tell them not to enjoy it?

This figure looks really good! A few quick futzing suggestions, if I may? I suggest raising his knee pads up a bit, so that the top of his pockets on his shins are exposed. Also, did you put the tools in them? I didn't think they were there in the first set of pics...? Also, those ankle straps - I dunno if anyone has mentioned yet if they have velcro on them? If so, undo them and re-attach them a bit looser, should fix that "pants not-baggy-enough" thing that people are mentioning.

Also, I'm intrigued by the mod that Nam suggested for putting this guy's accoutrements on a NSTT body (notice I said "mod" and not "futz"). I'm wondering if the original sculptor for the armor didn't have a slightly different body type in mind when creating the pieces? Some of the biggest complaints in this thread have been that the arms are too skinny, the legs are too skinny, the torso armor is too large. Seems to imply that a slightly meatier body could correct all of those. :dunno

To those that have it, is the vest removable or is it sewn together so it would have to be slid on and off over the shoulders?

Man....has any SW figure generated this much intense back-n-forth in a while? Last I remember people getting this bent down and around was when ANH Vader was released....guess we'll see that again when the new ESB/ROTJ version of him is unveiled at ComicCon....

Um, anybody got any more new photos of Fett here? Always ready to see more...

(thanks for yours, simplecripple...he looks great)

Well, lively debate is the spice of life!

To me it's only a debate if those people bashing the figure have said figure in hand. If they're only stroking themselves over other peoples pics then they have no right to complain. Just sad little people with nothing better to do. :dunno

Thanks for the suggestions. I have a few tools left in the box I still need to add. Funny you mention the knee pads. They're technically over the knee joint there, but they could be a bit higher. I had to run out tonight, but tomorrow I'm gonna set up my stuff and take some better pics with good lighting.

Lemme know if there's a specific detail you guys would like a clear pic of.
