Well I've done some reseach and I've found that Hasbro made one, then I saw a 1/6 scale one (don't know who makes it) then SS ph Han that lights up. I'm just trying to figure out which is the best or if there are anymore out I don't know about.

It really depends on how much you want to spend. For the price you can't beat the original Hasbro version... easily get it loose or even with the awful Han figure for under $30. Its pretty basic in terms of paint, but the sculpting of it is solid. Just do some simple drybrushing and it can look great.

Sideshow's is overall much better... but at over $200 you're gonna pay for the quality. It also comes with a section of wall which makes for a pretty cool display. This is my Sideshow Carbonite block:

Take it easy. Just making an observation. No need to get snarky.

You can't hear the tone of voice so you never know in what context things are being said.. But it's always funny here when someone jumps down your mouth for an "observation".

It's always like daddy just slapped mommy at the dinner table. Things just got serious for someone!!

:peace

Fantastic display, but you desperately need a Boba Fett!

Something like this :blissy :

Hey GB where did you get those shelves from?

Cocoboloboy made them for me; a benefit of living in the same town :rock

Thanks, and agreed... Boba will look great. I had the first Medicom Fett but sold it due to the height issues and never felt like putting the work into upgrading the Tomy or Hasbro versions.

So very stoked to finally have one from Sideshow :rock

The paint apps are amazing! I hope the production model retains the same matte -light green for the armor.

I agree. Judging from the photos and movie stills, I'd say Sideshow's paint job is spot on. Wish I hadn't just spent $150 on my Medicom Boba a few months ago, because I'm so getting this too and I'm running out of room for these guys:lol

One can never have too many Boba Fett's can they? I got that same ROTJ Medi Boba as well and I'm just as excited for this figure. Can't wait (although it will still be awhile it seems until we have it in hand).

:goodpost:Too true, but I have so many figures coming before the year is over, not to mention the plethora of awesomeness coming out next year. I'm already planning on putting away my Prequel Jedi figures to make some room. Can't bring myself to sell any of them though...maybe its time for a second detolf. No room!:gah:

Yeah, I hear you on the space issue. I've already got two full detolfs and several shelves full and not sure exactly where I'm going to be putting the new stuff. But I say to myself, it's Boba Fett so I'll make room.

I am considering giving my Medicom Boba to my best friend for his birthday:happybday That way I can be a hero and make room for the new Boba, and in the correct scale too (not to mention the kick a$$ bespin stand), but then I'll need the ROTJ Boba when he drops I suppose.

I thought the same thing. He does look a little squat and stocky, which made be wonder if he's on a regular pro and not the armor body.

I think we're all used to Medicom's Boba Fetts which are a bit lanky.
Sideshow's looks more like a man in a costume, i.e. closer to reality IMHO.

I just upgraded my Medi ESB Fett to their new body and it works pretty well, still very lanky, but he's taller now and the body is a lot sturdier.
Sorry for the OT excursion...

Really? I've been looking at a lot of images from ESB the last view days, and I couldn't find any in which Fett has the same funny looking build or bagginess to the costume that the SS one seems to have. He looks pretty slender in both films in fact.

I still think that the ultimate Boba Fett will only be available to people prepared to also order a more realistic body so they can customize it. Of course it's early days yet, we may well see it in some more realistic poses, or at least futzed a bit more. Certainly the detail, paint apps, and the brilliant base bode well. But this still doesn't work as an overall package for me. You don't look at it and think "Woah, this guy just walked off the screen", you think "Hey, nice Boba Fett doll".

I always said SS had it's work cut out for them with the awesomeness of the medi Fetts.

And so far it looks like they've matched it. And then with the weathering and the base just puts it over the top.

/BOUGHT

Jury still out for me. Need more pix. But if it can't be posed in a realistic, non doll-like way, then for me it's a fail.
