...Gonna switch SSC body to a HT cus of the chunky hip/short arm look the pro has (although looks ok in some pics, im just gonna go ahead and do it)...
Hope you'll take pics. Would really like to see if it makes a difference in how well Boba can be posed, along with the overall look.

Just picked mine up at my LCS and have to say he looks great in hand, especially the weathering and colours. Not going to bother futzing him yet, though, as he won't be going on display for quite a while.

Anyone else find the colour they used underneath the grate on the Bespin stand a little dull? Much preferred the colour they used for IG-88's stand.

Would like to see someone try the Medi helmet on the SSC figure - just curious. What's strange about the Medi is that certain elements appear almost the same scale as the SSC (gun, shoulder bells, maybe helmet) while others (knee armor, length of legs) seem severely shrunken. The gauntlets on the Medi actually seem bigger than the SSC ones, but maybe that's just the angle.

After looking at quite a few pics now, the Medi helmet does look more screen accurate than the SSC shape-wise, but the paint/finish on the SSC is miles ahead. If you compare it to screen caps, Medicom made very little effort to match scrapes/dents or even paint details like the viewfinder base strip which is totally wrong. SSC clearly did.

i will try that ;-),once it arrives

Pffft. You've got to be joking. Medi looks like he stepped out of the film, and has natural, human proportions. Sideshow's looks like a doll.

Nice try Sideshow, but a bit of extra height doesn't mean anything if you can't get simple proportions right. Those arms! Fail.

Thats why theres 4 years of _____ing from fans who have bought it. BAD, Bad, bad troll. :slap

After a couple weeks of pouring over all Fett photos here, it's undeniable to me that both Sideshow's & Medicom's versions have their share of pluses & minuses.

SSC wins out over paint, costuming details & accessories but misses the mark on the vest, Wookiee scalps, helmet sculpt & the resulting shade of green on it & the chest armor. The Medicom Fett, while on the diminutive size, is more accurate to how Jeremy Bulloch looked in the costume (it's easy to forget how the characters actually looked in the movie when we spend so much time looking at how they've been represented in various merchandising form). The RAH body also takes on more natural, human-like poses than the Prometheus body. However, after years of owning the ESB version, I've experienced broken darts on his knee armor as well as a shoulder joint to the body. I was honestly hoping the Sideshow figure was going to be a home-run compared to the Sideshow, but it looks like I may have to kit-bash parts from both figures & put it on a Hot Toys body.

Out of the various ways I've seen Boba Fett done in 1/6 scale, one of the easiest solutions for an ESB version has got to be what mah45 did by putting a newer Medicom Massive2 body onto the older RAH figure.

Compare it to Wor-Gar's ESB shot here:

Yay, more Medicommie trolling. :woo:monkey1

Seriously mods, if the lot of us were trolling pic after pic of the Sideshow figure in the Medicom thread, we'd all be infracted by now. Double-standard much? :huh

SS BOBA waist armor is weird ,left side always goes up …… I tried many times to pull it down ,but I can't make it right ……

Yeah, there needs to be a "Comparing 1/6 Boba Fetts" (or something) thread for this type of discussion. I think people are interested in doing these comparisons, this just isn't the place for it.

The "SSC Boba Customization" new thread was a good idea and stopped things from being derailed.

Clearly he's not much for coordination... reversed pocket flap, mismatched shoulder bells, etc...

See, right hip pouch flap reversed above. Now that's attention to detail. BAM!

Yea, but who would tell Boba you can't match to his face. Real men don't coordinate.

Got my Fett a week ago, and I agree it is much better in person than people thought it was going to be...Ive heard a couple people now talking about switching bodies, and Im thinking of doing that too...Which TT body do you think will work best?...Im guessing you can line up the holes for the screws in the back well enough to re-drill them into the new body...

Other question is, what do you guys that have done a body switch, do as far as making the SS boots work on a TT body?...Since the pegs/holes are obviously different...Thanks...

Boil 'n' dip the shoes to get the SSC pegs out and pop the HT ones in. The NSTT should work fine, but you won't be able to thread the screws into the back of the body. Plus, it might interfere with the arm/body articulation. It's the only reason I haven't done it yet.

I don't even think we need a thread like that. Nams absolutely right. You have a few pathetic souls who come in here to convince themselves of something by acting like they're trying to convince us of something. Do you see people from this thread posting crap in the medi Boba thread. Nope. :lecture

The customization thread is still up, it doesn't stop people that need attention. You can look at the timing of a few peoplesa post. They post derogatory SSC remarks in the medi thread, then when no one gives them attention almost like a countdown you see them come over here for a dose of attention whoring, pretty sad, pretty pathetic.

Cool, thanks Nam...

I gotta say I love my Medi ESB Boba but this one looks great.

The only things I'm not liking about the sideshow one is the shape of the helmet, needs to be a bit wider at the base, and the color of the armor, a bit to bright.

Other than that this is a great looking figure. I would have to do the mods and change the body but overall thumbs up.

Don't know if I'll ever break down and get it cause I already have the Medi but to those who have it congratulations!

My apologies if my observations are being interpreted as "trolling." Surprisingly, I've decided to pick Sideshow's version up despite its shortcomings because picking up all the parts that I want from Toy Anxiety for my kit-bash would cost almost just as much as buying the entire figure outright. I just didn't think that criticizing this figure would be interpreted as hostility towards the esteemed board members on this thread.

The holes in the feet for the pegs might still be a bit small for the HT ball joint (cut myself on blunt plastic forcing one into a sandtrooper foot, the heated foot became springy and then I pushed so hard it all pinged from under me and crushed my finger under my own weight on the surface below haha) so I carefully shave little by little away from the hole with a scalpel till it fits tightly, don't take too much though or you get floppy ankles.

I'm gonna do an autopsy on the bodies and unscrew them all just to see if drilling holes in a TT slim would damage anything, don't think it will with the right length screw atm. (I have a Jack Sparrow body ready, if you are in the UK and don't wanna pay £50 for a tt slim, collectablekitbash still has some for 29.99)
