That may just be the worst modern Yoda sculpt I've seen. I guess it matches the rest of Sideshow's line though. I don't know why people still collect this junk when the market is flooded with better stuff.

This looks more like Yoda to me.

I think this may be the first time that Sideshow was EASILY bested by a Medicom predecessor in the SW 1/6 scale category.

Medicom, which is very very sad.

I dunno, I much prefer the Sideshow version (and I used to have the Medicom one). It does seem like Sideshow sort of "reverse engineered" an older version of the prequel Yoda rather than recreating the actual ESB Yoda, though. Not crazy about that.

I've been away from this forum for a long while, so I feel I must thank you for giving me a good chuckle on my return. It's almost...nostalgic to see ridiculous posts like this. Time may pass, but the internets remain. Let's hug it out, big guy.

Ordered!! I like it more than the Medicom figure. I'm not entirely sure about the Dagobah scene set yet, but I doubt it'll sell out for the $$ they are asking for it. Hopefully I can get it at a discount sometime next year.

Both are on the cheaper end around $80 therefore, I wouldn't expect bells and whistles. That said, I kinda like the SS version. The sculpt is better (not perfect) but the clothes and body appear to be much better. I give the nod to Medicom in terms of the color. SS Yoda's color resembles a Hasbro figure

Ordered. Gorgeous, I have no complaints. Sculpt is good, Ex is decent, and the extra feet and hands (assuming he has the log base) will add a new display option.

Might look for the hut on the secondary market for cheaper, but I am impressed with all the accessories the hut has.

SS Yoda's color resembles a Hasbro figure

I was wondering about the color, too. But I think some of it might just have to do with the flash. Being a much smaller piece, I'd think some of the photography might be alittle tricky, given what SSC normally does. Plus, I noticed that Luke looked alittle bright in the photos, which makes me think about the flash.

have you not realized. you could have the perfect sculpt and george crappin lucas will have the artist alter it so it's not perfect. time after time we see this and we still don't pick up on it.

Yoda is too green. He also has a great sculpt, especially in profile. Infinitely better than the Medicom zombie Yoda, and better than any customs I've seen.

I think the pic shows how well SSC did, I mean look at the neck size in the movie Yoda it had to be large enough for the puppeteer to get his hand up into his head . Thank goodness SSC didn't follow that dimension exactly.

Heaven forbid we should get screen accurate figures.

it would be nice if the hut came with turntable ballbearing hardware (like a lazy susan) so it could be spun easy. i guess it wouldnt be to hard to add one.

It would have to be strong. The page says it's 4lbs, but that doesn't seem right.
