it would be nice if the hut came with turntable ballbearing hardware (like a lazy susan) so it could be spun easy. i guess it wouldnt be to hard to add one.

I was thinking a "lazy Susan" would be a must for a display... since the back of the hut is as nice as the front.

I'm still resisting the hut, as I just don't have room for it. Its a wonderful looking piece and (imo) worth every bit of the asking price. I am curious if there is going to be an exclusive version (as mentioned in the BSP) or if retailers will sell the same thing.

Oh, and in comparing the Medicom offering to Sideshow.

I think Medicom's sculpt looks a bit too old and sickly, where Sideshow's is a bit too round and young. Accessories; Sideshow does a bit better and of course the body will be a huge (as long as it works well) improvement over what Medicom did.

And for the price ($10 less than Medicom's Jawa) I think Sideshow has a winner on their hands.

It would have to be strong. The page says it's 4lbs, but that doesn't seem right.

i just did some quick checking and they make some nice low profile ones that can support up to 200 pounds.......so i think that should be quite proficient.

yea, its gonna be hard enough finding a spot for it & i dont see this being displayed in the middle of the room but that's where a lazy susan would come in handy if you can manage to fit it in somwhere. would be a shame only to see half of it. i was going to pass but kept looking at the pics and was totally impressed...........i caved.........

I could see this being on a low table (against a wall) on a lazy susan. Just be able to walk up to it and give it a spin.

Sadly I don't even have room to do that, so its not likely to be a purchase even though its an awesome piece

My living space is small, but so is my collection (sort of). Other things can move for this if need be, but I don't think they'll have to.

Medicoms has a better color shade but SS's thumps it in every other way.

Like the sculpt. Maybe Sideshow will change the paint for production. Love the hut and the detailing. I ordered both.

I understand the limited use of the body size (though at 5 inches it may be too tall for Yoda) but I can't bring myself to hit the order button for that price.

This is another figure that I'll wait 18 to 24 months and pick up for at least half-price...

Like you, I was expecting a 2-pack but for around $100-$110 tops.

I agree. I was hoping for a ESB/ROTS 2 pack. So the price is about right again considering the market that these figures are priced in. Expecting less is really naive. Though, not sure what else they could really put with Yoda at least from ESB. The backpack is about it or maybe some pots/pans.

I prefer Medicom's interpretation of Yoda. Or, to put it more correct, Medicom's take on Yoda looks less off than the SSC version, TO ME. They're both just interpretations of Yoda anyway, neither one is 'spot on'.
These friggin' 12 figures will NEVER be correct to everybody's standards. It's not too hard to accept.
