Mace took a swing at Obi Wan, with such lack of dexterity that he ended up banging his bald nogging against Obi's boot. Now he sports a Obi-Wan-boot-colored scar.

Any ideas on how the get the paint off without damaging Mace's noggin?
Thanks!

Got Mace.. and had to do the Boba taunt to go with it...

Just got home and so I just opened my Mace Windu, and I'm very happy. Completely top notch, sculpt is perfect, costume is perfect. And I must say the clothes are so much better fitting if you take them off and put them back on, it fixes a lot of things. And while we're here, I'll add my Sith Ani and Kit Fisto since I've got my brother's Nikon to use.

Sadly I'll only be returning to college with Kit Fisto--BUT, Obi-Wan should be coming some time soon so he won't be lonely for long.

Kit looks very fashionable there dv, but I wouldn't tell him that.:lol :D

Does look a bit pink, but that's because I don't really know how to use the camera settings so I tried without flash and it's a little weird.

What I'm really excited about is that once I get back to my dorm I'll be able to try some stop-motion animation with Kit, these figures are perfect for it and I think it'll turn out cool. I'm also going to try sculpting a 3D model (on the computer) for use in movies when I get back.

To show you what that means, I made this model of an alien from a 4,000 polygon Harrison Ford head (this is 1.5 million polygons):

change the white balance on that camera to probably "tungsten or flourescent" and you'll have much truer colors in your pics.

Wow!
do you use a sensable-like computer tool? or freeform or something like that?
that's amazing!

The program I used was Mudbox, I tried Zbrush but it has such a strange interface that it was confusing, with Mudbox I was able to learn it in 15 minutes, and I'm very happy with the results.

Crap, my Mace box looks like it got rolled along with Jango's head! Anyone else had a damaged box? If so what course of action to take? Do I have to send the box back or does SS send a new one?

Have no fear! My Mace box was damaged. I e-mailed SS and they sent me a new one in a well-packed box.

I contacted them and they sent a replacement box out as well. It kind of bothers me that they have that many extras. Wouldn't it be easier to just pack them properly to begin with?

It's easier to send out a replacement box than to spend more money overall on packing every figure with bigger boxes and packing material.

I do feel for those who have gotten damaged toys. I personally haven't had that happen to me and I'm real thankful for that.

I got my Mace from a local shop, which icidently doesnt ever stock anything but RC cars and collectable F1 stuff......my original Mace is lost in Parcel force worldwides incompetence zone....or could they be the same figure????????The shops less than 500 yards from my home....hmmmmmm
Like all their figures so far, much better in hand....but...lots of frayed stitching in the clothing! Anyway outta the box, repainted the eyes and dusted over the head Winsor and Newton FW airbrush acrylic sepia then wiped the excess off, just to add some depth (i hope)to the face.

All my other SW figures were packaged in the same size Sideshow box AND shipping box with no problem. Suddenly the Mace's need a bigger box? NO, they need to be more carefully packed.

Ehh...actually this one doesn't look so hot, Josh. Your Anakin and Obi-Wan repaints are top-notch, but this one seems to have worsened things. It's mostly the eyes. They look too large and misshapen with little gradient. The dark spots on the sides of his head also detract.

Honestly, I don't think Mace needed a full blown repaint. Perhaps change the eye color only.

I'm sorry, but this just doesn't look like it's up to your usual high quality of work. :(
