I wanted Avatar to win best score. I thought that was pretty good. I liked Holmes' too.

I wish Star Trek would've been nominated. I think it blew the rest of the year out the window. But atleast Mike won. He's awesome.

Avatar was nothing more then a "Dance with the Natives" movie...whats so different about it?

C'mon....the reason why The Hurt Locker worked, was because it was a CHARACTER study. It went into one of these guys' mind, which turned some crazy badass, into something more. That is why it deserved the win. The characters/writing.

How many times have we seen that, hurt locker is awesome please dont think im a hater but i just dont think hurt locker is the perfect movie everyone says it is, and honestly i was rooting for d9 to win but o well.

Yeah. if it bored you, why did you fork more money out to see it again? My not understanding that is less retarded than seeing something you didn't like once a second time...

I always give movies a second chance. If I come out going "I dont know if I liked it" I see it again.

When I first saw Avatar, I was a tad disappointed. But once I saw it again, it clicked with me, and it worked.

It doesnt hurt to give things a second chance.

Are you retarded and don't understand something?

I wonder why exactly it's more acceptable for you to ask a fellow freak if he's retarded ....but then you say that my comment is un-called for.
I wonder who's the real ass here?

Although, I kinda feel bad for Ben Stiller...that was ____ing hilarious. Poor guy...:(

True that .....that Ben Stiller skit was pretty un-expected. :lol

If she were winning for Strange Days or Near Dark, I'd agree, but Hurt Locker is over rated and Avatar is the most successful film in history, so you do the math.

Making lots of money doesn't mean it's better or the best. If it is then I guess stuff like Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys and Jonas Brothers are the greatest ever.

Not really a surprising night. Avatar won for the category it should only have won: SFX, Jeff Bridges won his award, and Hurt Locker owned the two big categories.

I was surprised that Bullock took the win over Streep and Mirren though. Not that I disagree, but it was surprising.

personally, i'm glad kathryn bigelow won, even though i don't think the hurt locker is the best film of the nominated list. i felt inglourious basterds, up in the air or an education were much stronger films.

but then again, the oscars have never been about the best film or person winning. it's always been a socio-political thing.

and this is the year a war film directed by a woman won.

this time, i can live with that.

I'm happy that Christoph Waltz got best supporting actor, and The Hurt Locker got best picture. I wanted Quentin Tarantino to win best director, but Katheryn Bigelow deserves it as much. I'm disappointed that Hans Zimmer didn't win for best score for Sherlock Holmes, and I'm still bummed that Moon didn't get any recognition whatsoever.

Man, I agree about Moon. Sam Rockwell was fantastic! Much better than Clooney.

come on lets be real now !!!! Avatar is a scifi epic not an oscar worthy movie, if it won i would have been surprised. O well can we all just get along, I see all of you !!!! lol.

Christoph Waltz won, that is all I care :banana
