Just collected this item.. very dissapointed

1. Painting color is vary to difference body part
2. Ankle joint is loose
3. Becoz of the design of foot, it is difficult to pose
4. Chest unable to move forward
5. All joints are too tight, very difficult to bend, it is easy to get it broken
6. Becoz of the material used, no room to move figure head to front
7. The scale espcially palm are slightly smaller

I received my four bodies. I'm disappointed. The Ttm19 is much better in my opinion. The aci body is hard plastic. The neck does not articulate at the base. The body cannot perform an ab crunch. Some of the joints appear glued together and I could not loosen the knee on one without breaking it.

Well my teory was correct,there is not need to sand the abs, lol
I stop play whit this bodies for the moment, I need to complete other projects first!!

Does anyone know how beto did this? None of my four come close

Aw man. This is definitely disappointing to hear.

IDK what Beto did but it started with some guys saying that you'd have to sand down the abs to make it happen. Beto said that you didn't and posted that but didn't give an explanation.

He definitely took it apart somehow to do that. I'm just wondering if it’s actually able to be articulated after doing what he did or is he able to get it in that pose by taking it apart, but then it'll be stuck like that


What do you think of the rest of the aspects compared to what people are saying? Ankles, knees, tight/loose joints?

Just got one of these from SwampYack yesterday, hoping to work on transferring Rick Grimes over tonight after work. First impressions aren't quite as negative as some of the others, but I can concur that bending at the midsection is challenging...however not a deal breaker for me and this application. Elbow joints are waaaaaay stiff, ankles seem ok, and the overall feel of the body is solid and weighted well. I will post some shots of Sheriff Rick once he's dressed.

Have you guys considered that because some of you insisted a use of this body before it was released, Iminime are going to have some of their premier figures coming out on them (Daryl, Memento, McClane) If the bodies are as bad as some of you say... then Iminime will face a lot of flak inadvertently... you should check if they can revert back to the HT Muscle Knock Offs which are not that bad...

Have you guys considered that because some of you insisted a use of this body before it was released, Iminime are going to have some of their premier figures coming out on them (Daryl, Memento, McClane) If the bodies are as bad as some of you say... then Iminime will face a lot of flak inadvertently... you should check if they can revert back to the HT Muscle Knock Offs which are not that bad...

This body is difficult to pose and lacks neck/ab articulation. Thats what disappointed me. It's not 'BAD'. It LOOKS much better than the knock offs. The paint aps are great. the Hands sculpts are very nice and to true scale not like the absurdly large hands on TTs. The leg joints are solid and the arms hold poses well. Trust me axe the knock offs will NOT work for those characters. Beto somehow figured out a way to loosen the midsection without sanding. Have to figure out what he did.
The ACI body wouldve been perfect had they just molded the upper torso out of flexible PVC instead of hard plastic.

These bodies are MUCH better than iminime's normal bodies for application when the chest/arms have to be visible.

As for poor iminime, I have to say all along I thought it was a mistake to plan figures for a body not released. I even said so too but my worries got washed out in the hype. This would be a terrible option for Mcclane based on size alone, Daryl too. Probably that Memento guy as well.

Have you guys tried using a hair dryer to warm the body up before moving the ab section? I remember seeing on the box of the only ACI body I own(I have a few mediums coming my way but not in hand yet)to use a hairdryer to warm the joints before swapping out hands, maybe you have to warm the ab section up too before you move it the first time?

I know it wouldn't make sense but looking at that first pic of his spread, it looks un-modded. I'd think that it would look different in the upright position (like a gap or something) if it was modded to move freely. That's why I thought maybe he did something to get it in that fixed crunched position, but then has to do the same that process to reposition it

It's worth a shot for those who have it already. I'm waiting for mine to get here still. It might be good to heat up the joints and work them back and forth a bit if they're really that stiff; maybe that'll break them in a lil'.

But ACI did say on their site that they sacrificed some ab articulation for a more realistic sculpt. They said some but I guess they meant all

It's very true unfortunately But since there is no options out there at the moment I wager I'd much rather wait until they become available, until someone fills the market, so some of these characters can be done right.

The bodies cost $35 retail. Denny probably gets them for less. Which is what the knock off TTs cost. I'd rather have the ACI body for a shirtless/sleeveless figure.
